I have weathered Mrs O for 30 years. We've never been there so that's the anniversary destination. We'll eat anything we can outrun. Give me some info! TIA

Husk and Fig seconded.
Blossom is good as well.
Cypress on Mondays for best gourmet burger that $5 can buy.
Duck club at Tatooed Moose is great as well for something greasy. Lots of good duck sandwiches if that's your thing.
I was kind of underwhelmed by Magnolias.

In a particular order.
The Ordinary - Seafood done simply and expertly, fantastic room, great bar. I like to sit at the bar and plow through some oysters and gin drinks.
Husk - Just a great spot.
FIG - Fantastic (same dude from Ordinary) re-tooled Southern food with a strong French influence. The tomato tarte tatin is worth a visit alone.
Leon's - Raw oysters and excellent fried chicken. Beer, wine, and champagne. Thats pretty much the extent of the menu. I've heard that the place was inspired in many ways by Uglesich's.
Plenty more, but that should be a good start. If you like drinking, I highly recommend Proof.

I would recommend spending an afternoon on King St. Lots of shopping options and then head up towards the stretch with bars. Closed For Business has an awesome beer selection and the Cocktail Club is another one of my favorite spots to grab drinks. Monza is a good spot near the stretch of bars with some awesome pizza, perfect spot to grab lunch.

Pretty darn true. She is a tolerant, determined woman.

Husk
Husk April 12th menu
McCrady's (more formal fine dining than Husk. Both are Sean Brock owned)
The Fat Hen - try the steamed mussels with curry cream.

Ate there about a month ago. Great food and beer selection and the atmosphere is laid back. Only drawback: Neckbeards and Hipsters.

I've only been once and the majority of that time was spent on Kiawah Island. With that said, we had drinks at The Gin Joint and The Rarebit. Great spots. Lunch was at Butcher and Bee. Great sandwiches. Dinner was at Zia Taqueria. I really didn't want to go here because I wanted to try something more connected with low country food, but it was alright. I love tacos. These were good, but I've had better elsewhere.

FIG tomato tarte tatin is literally the best thing I've ever eaten. And I'm not even a huge tomato fan. Someone told me to try it on a whim and now I dream about it.
A must have.
