Lunch rec - midcity

I am in town, and doing some work at the PJs at the end of Vets. Give me a lunch rec in midcity, lakeview, or metry. I could pop over to R&Os, or hit Parkway, but would like something different.

Just got out of Toups. Hadn't been before. Started with the crawfish hushpuppies. Crawfish was great, tomato sauce was ok.
Then had the burger. It was good. A bit salty and not sure if the pickled squash added flavor aside from tasting like pickles. Also if you put bacon on a burger make sure it is crispy.
It was good not spectacular. For 28 bucks before tip not sure I would return.

Toups is great. Not that it's okay that your food wasn't good, but I don't think I'd get a burger and hushpuppies there. Not with their other offerings available.

They have a lunch special that's $20 for a burger, a beer, and boudin balls. I've always enjoyed it.

Did they raise the price of this ?
It's not a great burger it's just ok IMO. I don't care for the beef/pork patty.

They may have, or done away with it completely. I haven't been for lunch in 6 months or more. So I guess I don't think it's that great.
