I hear Martin is a homebody, and people have seen him around campus. If I'm working towards the nba combine and draft, I'm not in BR going to school still. I have some hope he comes back because I think he actually enjoys BR

That would be incredible. If anything, I thought Mickey would stay and Martin would leave. Tells me what I know

Martin would be the kicker for the team next year. Big lineup of:

Newman
Blakeney
Simmons
Victor
Martin

of go smaller with

Newman
Blakeney
Quarterman
Simmons
Martin

We will be very good without either M&M, but having Marting back would make the team special.

Terrible decision on his part, but his to make. I guess the reports about him hating school were true.

Wish him the best of luck, but I feel bad for the kid if he's really got people pumping in his ear that this is a wise choice.

After the last month or 2, Hes completely dropped off draft boards.

well no one really knows except Martin himself. Coach Jones could even speculate if asked, but he doesnt know either.
we will have to wait and see unfortunately...

I asked the SECR about the APR thing because Kentucky has dealt with it a lot.

If Mickey did actually withdraw from school, that fricks our score. Unless everyone else fulfilled their obligations.

If the kid was a cancer on the team, leaving will be better for everyone. I remember Martin having a great game when Mickey was out. Chemistry is more important than raw talent.

Good riddance, if true. He wasn't a go to player that he should have become.

Exactly. You had to know what you're getting recruiting him from a basketball 'school'.

Nice but outside of guards, what about depth?

I feel like we would often use Simmons at 4 and add another guard. Then hope we get some production from Elbert.

I would come back. Not sure on salaries over seas, but you can make more money working in fast food than you can playing d league.

@ this

Even though Martin is clearly more prepared for the league, I see him having a much better shot of sticking around. Maybe its some wishful thinking but being a 5 star out of high school from Baton Rouge he came to LSU to change the culture of his hometown team. The program has certainly improved but with this sort of recruiting class coming in, its a golden opportunity for him to be on an LSU team that could be one of our best of the past 20 years.

I'm reallllllly trying not to get excited about Martin returning, but it would be ridiculous. Our defense will take a hit, but our offense will be literally stupid. A lineup of Benny, Martin, Malik, TQ, AB Is top 10 easily, probably top 5. Add in Victor, KH, JP, and Gray off the bench...omgoshhhhh
