One of the world's biggest soccer hotbeds could soon host a different type of football event.

A source told FOXSports.com that Brazil is a viable candidate to host the 2017 Pro Bowl.

The all-star exhibition game's future destination is one of the subjects that will be broached during the NFL's annual meeting being held from Monday through Wednesday in Phoenix.

There are several reasons Brazil is under consideration as the first non-U.S. site for the Pro Bowl. The NFL has drawn growing interest in that South American country from a television viewership and participation standpoint, which appeals to a league looking to expand its international interests.

The NFL also believes Brazil could hold allure to participating players as an exotic locale and unique experience.

Not a terrible idea really. It is so stale being in Hawaii every year. It's an opportunity to push the international brand and I bet the players won't mind getting some foreign chicks as a bonus.

Why? Who cares where they play this game?

Good move if it expands the brand.

No effect if it doesn't

Great idea no one in the US cares about the pro bowl so put it somewhere where the fans may actually care

Why not? They've blown years trying to cram football in Europe's sporthole, probably time to try a new continent.

That shitty game will probably take off there. Pretty savvy move. No wonder the NFL generates billions

Don't do it - been to Brazil several times from 1999 to 2006 (work related, not OTballer) I stay in contact with several folk I worked with - crime is out of control and everything is polluted - girls are fine - but infected.

In 18 years that place will be a hot bed for recruiting

Probably start their own league if they wanted to

I love the crap out of some football, but I can't think of anything I care less about than the Pro Bowl.
