If it had a liquor license it would be the best Mexican restaurant in city hands down. My oldest kid loves it so we are there often now. The chicken enchiladas with salsa verde are outstanding. Good tamales, excellent mole and salsas.

Private room at Tujague's. They do this all the time. The food is not incredible but it is pretty solid old school New Orleans fare. A couple of the private rooms have balcony overlooking Decatur.

They both have their strong plates. I'll say they are my two favorite. Georgia's has a more diverse Latin selection but TG has an overall larger menu. George's carne asada taco is the goat though.

Peche for the 3 of you.
As far as the 15, I'd try Domenica or Bayona. They have some smaller rooms they may be able to get you into.

This is true.
We did a private room here with the groom's party for lunch before an evening wedding, and it was a great time. We got as loud as we wanted, the food was good enough, and the service was nice.
I think it was only $30/person and was multi-course.

Mannings has a private room

I think we've managed to shy away from his "nice dinner" requirement.

How many tv's do they even have? Also 15 guys cramming aroudn the bar wont be very manageable.

I saw Obrah on Mardi Gras day wearing some old funky cloths that he must have been wearing for sometime. I wouldn't trust him here unless there is a soup kitchen thread.

Mr B's has a nice spot that can accommodate 15 for a bachelor party

Ouch.
That Bama sweater was fresh and clean, brah!
Sorry for my half hearted answer and continued derailing of this thread. This particular question may have been asked before.

I did a table of 14 at Charlie's for mine a couple years ago. Worked great and we had a really good time.

Domenica has a back room that would be a good spot.
Yes. I've done this before and can put you in touch with someone if interested.
It will have to be planned though. You basically set a fixed menu and go from there. I believe there is a 2K minimum but that shouldn't be an issue with drinks.
It was great when I went. Order a bunch of pizzas and apps as starters then had everyone choose 1 of 3 entrees

We did a BP dinner at Delmonicos and it was great. We split up into two tables, and ordered the 3 course meal with dessert. They brought out a ton of food. More like three different dinners plus dessert. Everything was spot on.

Update:
We ended up booking the chef's table at La Boca ($50/person, set menu, doesn't include alcohol or gratuity) for Friday night. The girl there was very adamant that it will only hold 14 people, and if we show up with 15 we will not be sat. So we are hoping someone either backs out or is getting in too late, but booked the private room at Dickie Brennan's as a backup (thanks fin).
Saturday we have an 11:00 reservation at a place called Tableau (his SO's reccomendation) for a brunch or lunch. We have a private room there and it will probably be our only meal of the day so hopefully it's good.
We have a 9:00 reservation for dinner Saturday at the Bourbon House, some will probably make it, some won't.
Random question: do the fairgrounds have a decent amount of TV's not on horse racing? Someone threw that out there for Saturday but want to make sure they will have the games on.
Thanks for the recs everyone
