I hope it's a pretty expensive course that attracts real golfers. Would love for it to be semi private

As I said, Louisiana is a terrible state for golf and can't support this

There are plenty of courses being supported in this state. Why do you think this won't work?

What makes Louisiana a terrible golf state? Is it the courses or the golf community that you believe is terrible? If it's the courses then by all means we definitely need a nice course. I don't believe the golfers make it bad. There are a lot of nice courses in this state that are doing great.

This will be a money maker. It won't need political tricks to make it, but I like your style

Most of those hipsters were just butt hurt because they were living in the area that got fenced off.

Also the reason why TPC sucks is because it's way out in the middle of nowhere (even moreso than English Turn), and it just didn't turn out to be a good design. Some of the trees they lost in Katrina had a little bit to do with this.

If they make this design right and make it the best course in the city, with it being in city Park, it is going to be an epic success in golf like the city has never seen.

Not sure how I feel about this. I've got nothing against golf. Hope it doesn't affect the other areas of city park.

No it wasn't.

Yes, it was. She's a bitch for hitting him/his car with a golf club and she ruined golf'd popularity...she a gold digger, etc. Not once was Tiger held accountable for his actions by these posters. His actions caused the subsequent reactions...and yes I agree that attempting to beat Tiger with a golf club is silly, but I'm sure she was quite pissed that he ruined their marriage which led to divorce...which invariably causes problems for the kids.
What would your 23yr old wife do if she found out on TV or social media that you had been having affairs with several women? She'd just pack her stuff and leave without some acting out? Doubtful.

What does that have to do with anything? How about you tell me how old you think I am, and let's see how good your preconceived notions and implications based on them are.

Look at Central Park. Look at Golden Gate Park. Those are what City Park should be striving to be like. How many golf courses do you see in those parks? None. Why? because the land is too valuable to be dedicated to a single program.

Actually, Golden Gate park does have a golf course. So does Presidio, Lincoln Park, and Harding Park. San Francisco has several fairly successful golf courses. Harding Park will be hosting the PGA Championship and WGC Match Play.

ETA - it should be noted that Harding Park actually lost money until the PGA was brought in to manage it under the TPC umbrella. The biggest problem with city owned courses is that they're usually run like shite because of the local politics/beauracracy. Outsourcing the management to a private company usually makes them much more efficient and profitable. I think San Francisco has moved to this model or is moving to this model.

but the queers have been an issue.

That has been the case forever, at least as far back as 30 years ago.

Growing up, the road running from Harrison to the soccer fields was known by everyone as Homo Highway.

There used to be a restroom on Marconi by Popps fountain, they fenced it and shut it down in the 80s because dudes were buying/selling blowjobs.

And scout island always had a few fruits in thongs out sunbathing when there weren't soccer games or other stuff happening.

Couterie forest area didn't use to be bad. we'd go back in there all the time, see people fishing usually. Though we did see occasional weird shite back there.

The only people supporting this golf course our golfers.

This is terrible for city park and for New Orleans. It's going to lose a Tonna money and taxpayers are going to have to subsidize it.

City Park needs to remain wild. So much of the park has become paved over with a new junk.an example that stupid dog park that has no business being there. Teardown the fences and let the green space live on.

Say no to golf courses, a waste of water, space, and money. The antithesis of what city park should be
