Anyone here with them had any problems?

I have my home and car with Allstate right now. Next month, I marry into a military family and will become eligible for USAA. If its cheaper to be at USAA vs Allstate, is it worth the change? I just don't won't any hassle if I have to file a claim.

Never had a hassle with them.

A recent example- My brother was in an accident, and about a month later, he got served with a lawsuit. My parents called USAA, they said "give us the information- we'll take care of it." They didn't have to do anything else- I looked about a month later and USAA settled with them.

I honestly have no idea if they are cheaper than other companies, but their customer service is top notch, and at the end of every year, they pay a "dividend" to their customers. Last year it was about $120. Not a ton, but a decent little refund. We have car, home and some life with them.

My dad has had it since 65 and I've had it since 97. My sister just switched b/c it was cheaper than her other, whatever that was.
Never had an issue, no funny business at all. They also have banking services and best price car buying services which makes it more than worth it.

Car insurance is great and their customer service is awesome.

Their home insurance is usually higher for older homes and if I recall they don't do the 2% deductibles which also raises the price.

I have condo ins with them and it's stupid cheap.

USAA is probably the best company I have ever done business with. I bank, invest, insure and so on with USAA.

In my experience with auto claims directly, its been super easy and hassle free. You would be amazed at how they assist you when not at fault, in terms of getting the other insurer off their arse. Great company.

Been with them since my parents took me off the tit in college.

Best company that I've dealt with as well. Zero hassles, no questions asked and they've even waived a couple of late fees for good measure when I was moving around switching bank accounts.

I have a credit card, Home and auto insurance and I rolled my previous job's 401 into an IRA with them.

8.99 per trade in a brokerage accounts beats a lot of places.

USAA is great...with a few caveats: they don't insure south of US 90 in Louisiana, and their homeowners rates aren't exactly competitive in the higher wind zone rated areas. They quoted me TWICE what Farm Bureau offered on a new build two years ago.

Now, I'm a happy customer with respect to their car loans (awesome rates, super easy paperwork), as well as the car buying service.

I interviewed with a P&C insurance company that competes with USAA. When the interviewer realized I was a USAA member, he legit said

"Even if you decided to join the **** team, don't give up your USAA insurance. Their rates and service beat anything in the market hands down"

He was referring to Auto but it applies for most types of insurance they offer. There are exceptions for your specific case but in general they are great

They are so awesome that I would actually pay them a little more than I would pay another company just to keep the customer service. The great thing is, I've only found one thing ever that someone else was cheaper on, and it was a marginal amount.

I have a lot of my money with them. Car and house insurance, wife has a low interest credit card, and I have several IRA's and checking account with them. You do receive a dividend check at the end of the year. I have never had a claim with them, but I hear they are great to deal with.

I've been with USAA my entire adult life. As others have said, their customer service is top notch. It's easy to get a human on the phone, and they are very knowledgeable. I was putting some jewelry on our policy and thought it would be difficult, but they made it easy. I used them to do a refi on my house because I like them that much, and their rate was only 1/8th higher than the best I found elsewhere.

I have my house, car and life with them. I found the home insurance to be fine in Orleans Parish compared to if I had it standalone with another company.

I suppose if I moved car and house they might get beat, but then I'd probably deal with a company that would try to frick me when it came time to collect.

I saw what happened after Katrina in MS. If you were with a bigger writer they nitpicked the shite out of claims (which was their right to do so)because they were looking at so much loss.

But they can be a bit higher. My fiancée's car is with another company.

Think my wife had all state before marriage... After marriage she moved to my usaa, our combined auto rate for 2 fully insured vehicles was less than what she paid alone. They take care of their members.

I have USAA for home and car. Took care of everything fairly easily after the Tuscaloosa tornado. The car shop we used sucked but that wasn't USAA's fault.
