Was watching luge last night on NBCSN just wanted the MSB opinion.

For me it's speed skating. The power and speed these people show is incredible. I compare it to the IAAF or the Swimming championships. Short track is also included.

The downhill is the greatest Olympic sport, bar none. It's amazing.

Solid thread. 3 of the 4 responses have said a team sport.

I guess I'll say skeleton and one man luge. That shite is dope. I like a lot of the skiing and snowboarding stuff as well, though.

Maybe I'm weird but I thoroughly enjoy the winter Olympics more so than summer. I watch damn near everything, I like the sliding sports the best. I do enjoy a good biathlon though.

Universal Sports has been airing a ton of the winter sports, it's been awesome for late night watching

Downhill is f'ing awesome. Especially if you have done some skiing yourself and can really appreciate just how fricking fast they are going.

Short track speed skating is so chaotic and fun to watch. Also enjoy watching all of the alpine skiing events.

I like close to every winter sport, def prefer it over summer.

I love the moguls skiing with the massive jumps at the bottom.

Anything with skiing. So much fun to watch. And a ton of appreciation for it if you've ski'd before.

This question perfectly encapsulates why the Winter Olympics is irrelevant. The only individual sport with any sort of prestige is figure skating and the audience of that sport skews heavily female. Outside of ice hockey, what is there for men to watch in the Winter Olympics?

Outside the U.S., where there is good TV coverage, there are a lot of good options -- curling, alpine racing, nordic racing, speed skating, non-headline hockey; all can have compelling competitions. But we don't see that. We see figure skating practice sessions, and figure skating interviews, and figure skating up close and personals, and tape delays of whatever US athlete medalled that day.

I barely watch the summer Olympics, but the winter Olympics are awesome. I don't watch any of the figure skating, but I watch pretty much everything else.

I love the added level of potential physical harm in every winter event. The summer games are just incredibly dull compared to the winter games.
