I'm from out of town but looking at a used car online at Brian Harris Chevrolet. Just wondering what their reputation is locally in Baton Rouge as far as service, buying experience, just information in general.

TIA

After some haggling, They made me an offer for a car I wanted, I accepted it, and we shook hands on it. Then the big boss came down and said they actually couldn't make that deal. I walked out then and there and will not return

Had a similar experience there. They gave me a price including rebates and wrote in on a piece I paper. I then asked about a deal through my work and the boss came out and said they quoted me the wrong rebates and the price would actually be a few thousand more. I went to Ross Downing in Hammond and got a better deal than the first deal Brian Harris offered.

I smoked pot with Brian Harris.

It was Brain Harris and Sloan Kettering. And they were blazing that shite up every day.

Got my very first car from there. Didn't have any issues. Of course, that was 9 years ago.

* Didn't haggle as the price was the lowest we'd seen anywhere. Haggling seems to be becoming more and more a thing of the past from what I've read the past couple years.

To be honest I don't have any experience with Brian Harris Chevy but plenty of experience with Brian Harris BMW. They are consistently the most expensive whenever I am searching for a car and they don't like to negotiate.

Nope.

Even on high-dollar stuff, there's still wiggle room.

Less so on lower priced cars, just b/c there's not as much room.

Bought a 2015 Silverado about two weeks ago. Experience was a good one and they were very friendly and I believe a good deal was made.

Truck had a sticker of $42k. Got it down to $34k out the door and then they gave me $9k on my trade (a 2006 Silverado with 132k miles on it). Which was awesome since it was on the high end of the trade-in value.

So all in all, I feel I got a good deal on a really nice truck. I'd recommend dealing with them.

What package Silverado? I paid 31k for my 14 Sierra when I bought it towards the end of '13.

Said it was the all star edition. Pretty much had everything I wanted except no leather seats (which I didn't want anyway)

No it didn't, but clearly there was no way I could win or come out with anything I wanted there if the price I had already agreed to was vetoed. I would have been angry had I agreed to a higher price with them, so at least this way I was satisfied by leaving and not associating myself with them anymore. Did it hurt them? No. Did I feel better about it? Yes. So quit being a sarcastic person
