Currently a mess now

If that's "a mess" I'd hate to see what you called my shed & storage room. I kiss my wife goodbye and say a prayer every time I need to go in there.

If you have acerage with your shed/house you would be amazed how nice it is to have a diesel tank in the shed. I use the heck out of mine.

Thanks for the shelving stuff guys, I don't use craigslist often so that is pretty helpful!

I built a 40x60 and still not finished with it. It is very time consuming when you're doing it yourself.

I put in a 20x24 office with a bathroom, reloading bench, hunting and fishing area and a general work bench. I have the top side to use for storage because I decked it with 3/4" ply wood.

I have a corner that will be for handling game and fish, I have a floor drain and will be able to hand deer and skin them inside.

I am currently working on running a loft 10' wide down the rest of way of the building from my office. I will have tons of overhead storage area.

As far a shelving goes I think I am just gonna build them because I am planning to set it for plastic containers.

I still have a lot to do, I haven't even started on the work benches or built a welding table.

my dad has a 30X40, on one end their is a roll up door and a side double door. above the side door is a 60" tv for games and such. in the corner like yours he built a full bathroom with shower and sink and toilet. outside of it is a kitchen with sink and granite countertops. had a fridge by it as well, then have a work bench and tool storage on the other side. then he has the home depot style shelves down that wall. its endless to what you can do. he keeps his boat, four wheeler andzero turn in it as well. he also has a wall with all his fishing tackle and rod n reels. its pretty sweet, i will have one similar one day.

Serious consideration on dust collection on woodworking side. Also get a bandsaw if you don't have one. Nice drum sander and plainer 20 inch. A lot of dead space on top. Make storage above on second level

Place is currently a wreck, there is now a 2 post car lift where the truck is and a 20 x 36 awning on the back with an 8 x 16 storage/air compressor room built into it. You can see from these pics but I built material storage racks along one wall.

Where your bathroom is across the back uild a mezzanine deck all the way across the back with a staircase. Tell your wife that's her space. She can't mess with anything else.

order of business is a beer fridge, a recliner, a space heater, and a flat screen tv...

Got everything but the recliner. Also added a sink with nice counter space for cleaning game, a deep utility style sink, and a toilet. Wife said all I was missing was my bed and shower.

love the shop! I've been talking about building one for 2 years now. Now I can either get a new boat or a new shop. really need the shop to store the boat... not having a boat means I don't need the shop.....

build the shop, you can always go cheap on a boat until you are ready to upgrade. hard to go cheap on a shop...

Put in a lift. And I think I would put in another floor above. Maybe not the size of the whole shop, but an area with a staircase and a boom to lift shite up there and get it out of the way. Maybe even another room for visitors you don't want inside, you know, MIL, guests from her side of the family. Nice. Where's the the stack of yeti's.

Look for a good dust collection for your wood shop and run pick ups to all your machines.

I have a good band saw that gets used more than any other tool I own.

I would have a very large assembly table. Can never have one that's too big.

Any way possible you could build a second story on the back side over there for storage? That would be pretty awesome. Maybe even put sofa, tv, beer fridge, etc up there.

BTW, very jealous. Congrats.
