re: TD Fantasy NASCAR 2017 - Bagger Joe
Will be very difficult to do but I think Hamlin wins again this year. Watch for wrecks before the segment points. It's going to be crazy! ...

re: TD Fantasy NASCAR 2017 - Bagger Joe
Wow! Anyone see the Xfinity wreck that just happened? Bump draft gone wrong took out half the field! Thats plate racing. A wreck like that tomorrow can take out your whole team. Especially with the new repair rules this year. ...

re: New home construction thread. ANY AND ALL advice/tips/tricks welcomed - Bagger Joe
I've had 2 houses built and the first was the closest my wife and I have come to divorce mostly over interior things. The second one was much easier because I changed my attitude about the interior. Every time she would come at me with one of those 6 inch paint color fans it made me crazy, so my rep...

re: Do we have any Southwest LA Rifle and Pistol members on the OB? - Bagger Joe
Great! We have a shooters meeting at 8:30 and start shooting at 9. The length of the match depends on how many shooters we have but we usually finish between noon and 2. Let me know when you can copy my email and I'll post it. ...

Good! When you hear back from him, tell him Joey told you to email him. If you want to get into AP, I will give you my email and we can talk about it. It's a fun match that combines speed and accuracy. Don't be intimidated or shy about coming out. We enjoy new shooters! ...

re: Hedge Trimmers - Bagger Joe
I've had one of these for a few years and it works great. I only use it about 3-4 times a year. It's corded and I've managed to cut the cord a couple of times. [link=(https://www.lowes.com/pd/BLACK-DECKER-3-8-Amp-20-in-Corded-Electric-Hedge-Trimmer/4165989)]B&D Corded Hedge Trimmer[/link]...

We just had the first match of the year this past Saturday and the next will be on Saturday, March 18. Email George at secretary@swla-rifelandpistol.org and tell him your situation and interest in shooting AP. He's a great guy and will be willing to help you. Go to the website you linked and look ...

re: Do we have any Southwest LA Rifle and Pistol members on the OB? - Bagger Joe
Do you want to shoot rifle or pistol? I shoot over there once a month in the Action Pistol Matches. I would suggest finding a match that interests you and go out there and talk to some people. The matches I shoot in are 'open'. Meaning you don't have to be a member of the club to shoot, but you do h...

re: Sporting clays? - Bagger Joe
I just use what I dove hunt with. 2 3/4 inch, 7 1/2 shot at 1/1/8 oz. Sporting Clays are a lot more fun to shoot than skeet IMO. As said, most courses are either 50 or 100 rounds. That event will probably be 100 but bring more. Never shot Covey Rise. Riverside is my favorite course in SELA. Could th...

I've always wanted to ride Route 66. It would be a haul from BR to Chicago, then from LA back. Never wanted to take the time to do it. I know I'll regret it someday. ...

re: Can't decide between a Buck Mark, 22/45, MKIII/IV, or S&W SW22. - Bagger Joe
I have a Ruger 22/45 and I love it! I originally bought it because the grip angle is the same as my 1911 and is great to practice with. The only negative is that it is a PITA to take down to clean! I've heard the newer models are easier....

re: Bullet setback - Bagger Joe
I took his question as a FTF and as the slide is moving forward the new round just doesn't make it into the chamber. The slide moving forward shoves the bullet 1/8" into the brass.
I have a Caspian 1911 with a 9mm Cart barrel that used to nose dive fairly regularly. I polished...

re: Better first gun .17 or .22? - Bagger Joe
Some of the coating starting coming up around the bolt
Even on the SS models, the reciever is still made of aluminum and painted. Its a common problem with all models of 10/22s. [link=(http://www.perfectunion.com/vb/ruger-10-22/61797-peeling-paint-receiver.html)]Peeling Paint o...

re: Bullet setback - Bagger Joe
Depends on the gun and how much setback we are talking about. As Clames said, just about every semi auto handgun has some degree of setback due to the loading process. If it's only a couple of thousands, I'll reshoot it. Are these reloads your talking about? If so, what caliber? I reload and if this...

re: Better first gun .17 or .22? - Bagger Joe
Ruger 10/22. They are reasonably priced, they always function and ammo is cheap. There are a ton of "add ons" for them out there too. I bought my boys 10/22s with the understanding that they would never sell them. They love shooting them! ...
