Just watched The U:Part II and without much further information it looks like they got one stolen from them.

Ohio State got cheated in regulation

I think several officiating associations validated the call and said it was a good call.
ESPN even did a show one time called "The Top 5 Reasons You Can't Blame the Referees for Miami losing the 2003 Fiesta Bowl".

Yes...the call came in way too late...if you are the ref and it takes you that long to make the judgement, you should not have made it.
I hate Miami, but they were jobbed there

If they called PI for Jenkins in the 4th qtr, the game was over. He got mugged big time there. So that OT PI call should have never occurred if the refs did their job in 4th. Cryami fans, lulz.

Not this shite again.
They failed to mention the blown call with about 2 mins left. With OSU up 3, OSU had the ball with a 3rd down and manageable. Pass to Gamble was complete and in bounds, despite the fact that he was completely mugged in the process. However, no flag was thrown and pass was ruled incomplete. If that's a first down (which it would have been), the game is over. Instead OSU punts and Roscoe Parrish returns it so they are in FG range to send it to OT.

What is this unhealthy obsession about OSU? I don't get it. What's next? Their win vs Oregon was just a fluke because Oregon had more injuries despite getting their arse whooped by a 3rd stringer?

Former Hurricanes cornerback Glenn Sharpe has always maintained he wasn’t guilty of pass interference on Ohio State’s Chris Gamble on the controversial play in the 2002 national title game.
Apparently, a couple of Buckeyes think the same.
Sharpe told me in a phone interview Sunday that his former Atlanta Falcons teammate Michael Jenkins, Ohio State’s leading receiver in that game, ”used to say all the time, ‘Yeah man, Chris was like, ‘Man, you know that was no pass interference.’ But he was going to take it cause the ref gave it to him.”
Sharpe added, “I’ve been told by Jenkins that Chris admitted it himself that it wasn’t pass interference. Even Jenkins said that. He was like, ‘Yeah, they [the refs] got you.”
Sharpe said Jenkins, “is a stand-up guy” and “he wasn’t really trying to rub anything in my face.”
The Hurricanes appeared to have won the 2003 Fiesta Bowl, which decided the ‘02 title, for about three seconds after the incompletion in the end zone until Porter threw a flag.

pretty much the sole reason I was pulling for Oregon against them was because of that total screwjob. The absolute worst I've ever seen when taking situation into account.

if you can't score a TD from the 1 then nothing was stolen from you.

Well that's terrible reasoning.

This was the play on 3rd down with 2 minutes left to seal the game, it wasn't called pass interference and was called incomplete.

I stand corrected. It was Gamble that got mugged. Plus he was inbounds too. Terrible officiating in that sequence.

they wouldn't have had to score a TD if the refs didn't frick them over.

No.
If anyone got cheated, it was Ohio State. The game should've ended in regulation.

The PI controversy wouldn't even exist if then refs didn't miss 2 calls on one play late in regulation.
We can play this game all day.

Miami should have gone back-to-back in 2000 and 2001.
