Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I can't keep one of these garbage inventions working longer than two months.

This one is pretty good, cuts the sides, not through the top. Electric ones suck, and are a waste of space.

I have that one, but it does a pretty crappy job. I have to go around the can like 5 times to open it.

My roommate has a Pampered Chef opener that opens the sides and it works like a charm.

I started this thread as a not-so-subtle brag about my incredible strength.

They always strip and slip at the gears.

I may have to try this. My aggravating neighbor sells PC. Might be time to hit her up.

I have gone through like 4 manual ones, I swear. And I haven't done anything weird to them. I think they were just TOO cheap (dollar store, WalMart, etc.)

Paid $8 for my electric one, and it works great.

I like the manual ones when they're not dingy like all mine though.
