If the sheriff will not enforce bc it's their deputies/employees call the state police to do it.

They are not "your" ducks...

I'm staying awfully quiet over here as this sounds REMARKABLY similar to a place you and I used to hunt...
To be fair though, we had that map from 1812 with us, and there may have been a coffee stain or two on it, but legal was legal.

Was the landowner named Ronnie?

That's how I understand the law, but I've never actually seen "the map".
I've always loosely interpreted the rules as, "If you can launch at a public place, and get to a spot without ever leaving the boat, then you can hunt it."
Parking down the bank to hide the boat, walking around in the woods, or dragging across a levy is trespassing though.

Like cooking and drinking, we need a daily trespassing thread.

That 'a a handy map, but it doesn't show publicly accessible areas on the river (it's Corps land).

You said they "tie up the boat" and trespass?
Untie boat.
Untie boat.

How the hell would I know who the land owner was? Determining that sort of information takes away my plausible deniability! "As far as I know, this land is your land, this land is my land."

Take that link down bro.
We don't need a bunch of lurkin sugarasses finding out about all the public spots available that they wouldn't otherwise know about

Now that I think about it
Eta: I only have about 5 more days of work the rest of the year, if you wanna make a hunt with your old buddy.

Ok Clyde why wouldn't I do that? It is illegal to trespass and this lets the trespasser know I am willing to enforce the law. Most honest people stop trespassing at this point in my experience, those that don't nothing will stop except jail time.

They aren't MY ducks but if they are on my land they are for ME to hunt not you or anyone else. If someone trespasses and shoots them they are no longer there for ME to hunt on MY land. When that happens I get pissed and take them to court period. What is hard for you to understand about that?

Yeah, I'm kidding around. The landowner that owns half a (landlocked) oxbow put a big blind in the middle of that oxbow that has public access. It made things...weird.
