Yep. Had about 200 acres cut over the last year. Plenty cover and very huntable. We will definitely go this year. It's some serious hills/canyons though. I will need to eat my wheaties.
As far as trespassers and dealing with them, I am the best at it. Someone could poison my front lawn and burn my truck and it wouldn't bother me. If someone messes up my hunting, they only do it once. I don't really play fair when it comes to that. I'll tie up a dead horse to their blind before I let them comfortably trespass (if it's really trespassing).

Id make it so nasty they'd burn their own blind down.

What a shame that something as pure and good as hunting is becoming as messed up as everything else.
What a shame that the hard work, time, effort, and resources of a few are destroyed by the lazy, the irreverent, and the apathetic.
Everyone wants a hand-out.
Pretty big jump. It could be they are on public land and hunting legally. They may need to change their route.
Seems to me if they are there legally, the best thing you could do is grant them access to cross your property in exchange for no evening hunts and possibly moving a touch further away. Then you have a known ally protecting the back side of your property.

How much tannerite for a duck blind? Let them be within eyesight when it blows...

Damn, I must be the only rational motherfricker on this board. and I am genetically a pretty harsh bastard.

Load it up w deer carcasses. Will be more buzzard shite and vomit in there than they can stand. Fish too.

If you are baiting it to get them caught, make sure to scatter some lead shotgun shells all in the blind.

It honestly sounds like he doesn't know what is going on out there. Who calls the sheriffs department about property they don't know if they own or not?

Some posters don't read. They're basically just having conversations with themselves. It's not you.

One box of pogies in the blind 4 days before they hunt should do it.

Can one shoot with a gas mask on?

I'd probably also have a live common snapping turtle in there. Drill a hole through the edge of his shell to get a small shackle through. Cable to blind so he can't get out.

Oh, and pogies......damn. I swear you can see the stink by the plants.

You know broken mirror pieces on top of a blind are pretty good at discretely ruining a hunt...

Do your research or get an attorney to do your research for you and determine if they are actually in the wrong. If they are in the wrong, then proceed accordingly(which would be to call the wardens).
In some parishes game wardens do not handle trespass calls, thats for the sheriff

Could also grease the crap out of the floor. Bastards would be busting their butts all morning.

Too bad it isnt a pit blind. I helped a guy pull a gator out of a pit blind around jonesville years ago. Scared the shite out of the guys that were hunting the blind that morning
