Clemson's stock just fell dramatically. And it was already on the decline.

Seems like a good hire. Should be able to win 7-8 games at SMU within a couple of years.

If Morris is smart he drops aTm from the schedule as he doesn't need them anymore

Play an ACC team Fun Belt and CUSA team non con he will get exactly what he needs.

If Memphis can hire TCU's offensive coordinator and win the AAC 3 years later I see no reason why SMU can't

googled. I assumed he was in administration given your background. Kinda cool that he was able to do something with an Arkansas Tech degree.

Comparing SMU to Baylor is comparing rotten apples to fresh apples.

They play in different stratospheres.

You should know the NCAA hierarchy is slanted to the haves. SMU was for all purposes blackballed from the country club and now has to play at muni courses.

They already have, the financing for Moody was shady but done. SMU will be allowed some leway now the NCAA knows they ruined a school.
Plus TCU and Baylors dirty dealings tell me they won't press hard.

The one place to look at is TU if they start sliding again SMU will start to rise.

Rice and Coog High can't help themselves they keep doing stupid things to themselves

ETA

The NCAA would have never been looking at SMU if the two papers in Dallas weren't trying to sell papers.

A young guy getting his 1st gig and a dude setting up his golden parachute are pretty different though.

Apparently Dabo was going for the Florida gig, and Morris was holding out to see if the Clemson job was going to open up.

Dabo. Florida. That would have been gold.

Not a good gig. He should hold out a year or so for program like UVa or Va Tech or something equivalent in other conferences. He can be more successful quicker with results that actually matter in a better conference.

Thought they had 1 more. But SMU doesn't need aTm as much as aTm needs SMU. If SMU was I a P5 then they would need aTm or Texas.

Teams with arguably the best freshman QB (when healthy) since God knows when aren't on the decline.

Exactly what does A&M need SMU for? A&M got 2 DFW trips out of the 5 games played since 2005 and that's about it. They don't really need SMU to set up games in DFW. The Arky series at JerryWorld is case in point.

SMU meanwhile got to make a shite ton of money for coming to College Station and a bunch more on price gouged tickets by selling 32,014 in 2012 and 34,820 in 2014. Since 2005 those A&M games represent a third of the times SMU has sold 30k+ tickets to a regular season game. The others were TCU '08, SFA '09, TCU '10, and Texas Tech '13. The only other one was the bowl game against Army in 2010. Since 2000 the only team that has consistently sold as many tickets in Ford as A&M is Texas Tech. (last two TCU game averaged out to just 26k)

SMU needs A&M and other former SWC schools if they want people to give a shite about going to the games.
