Maybe it's because of this.

quote:

Another witness had told the FBI after the shooting that he saw Wilson shoot Brown in the back, and then stand over his prone body to finish him off. But in his grand jury testimony, this witness, acknowledged that he had not seen that part of the shooting, and that what he told the FBI was "based on me being where I'm from and that can be the only assumption that I have."

The witness, who lives in the predominantly black neighborhood where Brown was killed, also acknowledged that he changed his story to fit details of the autopsy that he had learned about on TV.

"So it was after you learned that the things you said you saw couldn't have happened that way, then you changed your story about what you seen?" a prosecutor asserted.

"Yeah, to coincide with what really happened," the witness replied.

Another man, describing himself as a friend of Brown's, told a federal investigator that he heard the first gunshot, looked out his window and saw an officer with a gun drawn and Brown "on his knees with his hands in the air." He added: "I seen him shoot him in the head."

But when later pressed by the investigator, the friend said he hadn't seen the actual shooting because he was walking down the stairs at the time, and instead had heard details from someone in the apartment complex.

"What you are saying you saw isn't forensically possible based on the evidence," the investigator told the friend.

Shortly after that, the friend asked if he could leave.

"I ain't feeling comfortable," he said.

I can't waste my emotional energy being mad at a group of idiots in Missouri, mostly cause it doesn't really affect me.

But I am "burn-this-bitch-down" mad at Obama and his cronies.

Not true. There was a group of testimonies that were consistent with each other and consistent with the forensic evidence. These were the ones being believed when Wilson was cleared. The inconsistent testimonies were given by people saying he executed Brown. Many of these testimonies were changed as the media changed the story and some were recanted entirely when the individuals admitted they were not even present. It seems open and shut. The DA didn't want to indite because it was completely obvious that Wilson acted within the law.

How many times have I deposed black people or women or whatever who claim discrimination, and the only thing to have to support their claim is "the only assumption that I have."

Doesn't prove anything about a race of people. Just feeds my skepticism about allegations of bad shite.

i haven't really seen that

but I think the white majority are sick and tired of seeing Black people outraged over false information.

If you are going to protest, protest over a hero that was unjustly killed not some punk who tried to take an officers gun after robbing a store, and bullying the clerk.. The kid was being arrogant

Everything we are seeing on TV right now is in vain, they are defending a kid who attacked an officer.

It's so retarded they are upset over a lie. They should be pissed another kid died because he wasn't taught well at home... Protest that message for all people, and the white race will stand with you.

The Black attorney for the family is a complete idiot, but I guess he is being paid to be an idiot.

And I understand that some blacks are skeptical based on their life experience, and that is as fair for them as it is for me.

But the question is: who is shut off from reality in this Michael Brown situation?

The other poster was trying to make that case that because there were conflicting testimonies there should have been a trial.

Obviously as you point out if the evidence clearly indicates Wilson acted within the law the testimonies that were not supported by forensic evidence and were in conflict certainly would not make a prosecutors case stronger and further support the GJ decision.

To make that work the people of Boston would have had to burn their own docks and bridges then perhaps your analogy is valid.

Obama mentioned something about that in his speech, something like their police needed to be more "representative of their communities."

So in non-minority communities, should there be no minorities on the police department? Is that what he is saying?

Yes you can think you're not racist

PLEASE define what it means to be racist. I do not think I am a racist, but then again I am using my definition. I do not know if I am or not according to your or other definitions.

but when statistics show their is still a large large disparity for minorities in every realm of life

Please explain this. What disparities are you talking about. I think minorities have it better, and more opportunities than ever before. There is a black man at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for goodness sake.

White people are getting tired of bullshite accusations and flat out lying to try and get innocent people put in jail for actually doing their job and a good thing in this case (putting down a violent criminal).

It's possible a lot of White people have reached the saturation point with elements of the Black community who demand more than they deserve. And who, when what they demand isn't met, revert to violence, tantrums, declarations of "victim-hood" and whatever other outlandish excuses and actions they can think of to make a case for whatever it is they want.
I think a lot of White people are sick to death of being labeled as "racist" if they should disagree or not buy into the Black victim narrative.
I also think a lot of White people are looking at elements of the Black community with more discernment - especially those who scream about discrimination by police, all the while by their silence when crimes occur in their communities, give tacit approval to gangs, druggies, drive-by shooters, thieves, rapists, perps of Black on Black violence, and more. Much of their victimization is done unto themselves and some Whites are beginning to break our own silence about that little detail.

He was talking about the minority community in Ferguson and those across the country, so I kinda doubt he meant the segregation would apply to Asian, white, Hispanic, etc., communities.

But then, I think you knew that.

Everyone has cultivated an environment where black lives aren't valued as much as others. As much as this board wants to stray from culpalbility, their attitudes contribute the problem, and don't help in the slightest bit

I would say the environment that values black lives the least is the black community. Is there evidence to the contrary?

The way to end racism, or at least discrimination, is to assimilate into the culture. That is what the Irish did. That is what Asians have done. That is what the Indians have done. That is what the Vietnamese have done. They haven't rejected their own culture, but that have embraced the attitude of working hard and being responsible for their own lives. Every injustice is not used as an excuse. They also work together within their own "community" to start businesses and become successful. The black community could learn from their examples, but chooses not to.

I truly believe that the hurdle(s) between the black community and success is now just 6 inches high, whereas in 1960 it may have been 6 feet high. It only takes a small step to clear it today - you just have to want to take that step.
