re: Bolognese - add chicken liver or not? - ChEgrad
I made the Mozza bolognese before and it turned out really well, but man it was a pain waiting for the soffrito to get done all the while worrying if it would burn (some horror stories on the Internet of burned/bitter soffrito). I got a bit of a late start today and forgot I started this thread. ...

Bolognese - add chicken liver or not? - ChEgrad
Made bolognese several times before and it has been excellent, but I have never added chicken livers which some say adds a real depth of flavor. I'm making a batch Friday and am trying to decide if I should add the livers. Any thoughts from the bolognese experts?...
I'm sure the dentist knew the reputation of the lion he was shooting. I'm sure he wanted the kill because of the fame of the animal and for the black mane. I'm sure he felt that a stuffed Cecil head would be worth more than $55,000. It was an investment.
Why are you so quick to ...

re: Worst restaurant experience you've ever had? - ChEgrad
Pinetta's and Pinetta's again. About 30 years ago took a date to Pinetta's. Service was horrible, although I don't remember specifics. I left a one penny tip just to make sure they knew I thought about the tip and wasn't just a cheapskate. Went back a year or so ago with a group of 6 people....

re: Pilot pulls off incredible landing as Boeing 777 fights 75 mph winds - ChEgrad
I spent three years flying into the Marseille airport. The Mistral in Provence will blow continuously for days at speeds of 100-120 kph (60 mph or more) or more. They land planes in that no problem, but I can't say it is a lot of fun. The worst/best landing I had was in Paris though. We basicall...
Guido's on the hill for the best St. Louis pizza. People will say Imo's but that's the Dominos of STL pizza.
I was unimpressed with guido's. Surely there is better pizza to be found. Had a very good meal at Sameem Afghan restaurant I'm Manchester Ave. ...
Watch that Orange Bowl
And what you'll find is that Clemson turned the ball over 4 times and did not possess the ball. We managed to force 4 turnovers, which might be attributable to coaching, but maybe not. LSU was very good winning time of possession which helped the defense. C...

re: How History Will Remember George W Bush - ChEgrad
Had president Bush won his first election by a significant margin (both popular vote and electoral college) even the left would have considered him the legitimate president of the U.S. In that case he would not have been subjected to much of the vitriol from the left and his presidency would be perc...

re: Part of the difference between Alabama and LSU's success - ChEgrad
I don't knowbthat I fully agree with what you are saying but I will say this about Alabama. Alabama has something that LSU does not have and that something is Auburn! Also, we have no pro team if any kind in Alabama so college football is king. You are pretty much determined to be an Ala...
When Bill Clinton left office, we had record high surpluses, a booming economy
Booming economy? Do you have any recollection of the stock market crash in 2000? The economy was not booming. Surpluses were due to the only congress in my memory that actually did some good (admitt...

What a diverse crowd! How does diversity affect a country's income inequality? I'm willing to bet income inequality is easier to achieve in small, homogenous countries. I also assume you believe diversity is a good thing. Which is more important: diversity or income inequality? Pick one - I...

re: And The Most Violent State In America Is - ChEgrad
Since income inequality is associated with violent crime (according to the authors) I assume they have shown that most of the violent crime is committed by the poor against the rich. I'm willing to bet that is not the case. If that is not the case, why would income inequality lead to violent crime...
