re: Has Socialism ever lifted large numbers of people out of poverty - ChEgrad on 7/26/17 at 8:24 am
quote: You make a good point but some of the policies really were socialist, such as setting limits on how much grain farmers could grow and the installation of price controls. Yes, and those were by far the policies with the most destructive outcomes.
See Venezuela. They have...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Shocker: Trump fails on another promise. Carrier layoffs begin in july - ChEgrad on 7/26/17 at 8:11 am
Do he or did he not promise "100 percent" to save those jobs?
I'll let you tell me which president managed to fulfill every single campaign promise. Did Carrier keep more jobs in Indiana after meeting with Trump than they had planned to prior to meeting with him? If he saved on...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Another Top Obama Official urges CIA to stop Trump - ChEgrad on 7/25/17 at 8:59 pm
yep its tragically sad when our president is a lying sack of shit, no ethics, no moral compass who was bought and paid for by an adversarial nation and 60 million people believed the disinformation campaign the Russians help disseminate.
Are you talking Trump or Hillary? Cause ever...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Taking a 2 year old to a football game.
I took my son to his first football game when he was two in 1994. He watched the entire game fervently. Loved it. He has been a true tiger ever since. Why don't you want to encourage the development of the next generation of fans?...

re: Trump Jr represented by Mafia Lawyer - ChEgrad on 7/23/17 at 9:55 pm
Government was corrupted looooong before Obama was even born. And as for the other garbage; Obama simply followed the establishment agenda, just like Bush before him, and Trump after him. But your blinders won't let you see that.
Certainly government has been corrupt for a very lon...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Trump Jr represented by Mafia Lawyer - ChEgrad on 7/23/17 at 10:37 am
quote: Barack Obama ripped Race relations and Ideological unity to shreds...he set the Middle East on fire, created ISIS and is to blame for the European invasion and likely calamity. He corrupted every single agency of the Bureaucracy/'deep state'. That's a melt full of crazy.
...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: So what will this special prosecutor uncover? - ChEgrad on 7/19/17 at 11:54 pm
There will be some sort of charge involving mishandling of money in the Trump business, lying under oath by someone, and nothing related to collusion with Russia during the campaign or obstruction - except for the lying under oath yet to occur. These investigations rarely end up with anything relat...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: McCain survival rate is approximately 4% - ChEgrad on 7/19/17 at 11:47 pm
My dad made it about 2 years with that cancer. The last year he would talk and all the words sounded perfect, rhythm was good, punctuation was good, but they didn't make any sense. I think he knew what he wanted to say, but the wrong words came out....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: True or false: it's harder to get a job that covers basic living now - ChEgrad on 7/19/17 at 8:49 pm
False. Starting salaries in my field are basically the same accounting for inflation. What is different is people now think they need a huge house, granite countertops, two fancy cars/trucks., etc. The basics aren't basic anymore....

re: If Canada has an uptempo fast scoring offense..Defense Will Suffer - ChEgrad on 7/19/17 at 4:26 pm
True But based on watching the Pitt-North Carolina game the other day it is not a fast scoring offense. Had tons of time of possession in that game at least. I know nothing of the other games so I don't know if that was atypical....
I'm advocating for capitalism. Capitalism works with the free flow of ideas, labor, and goods without the artificial impediments imposed by gov't.
They're not the same. Some Republicans aren't voting for BCRA because it isn't cruel enough.
What is cruel is trying to provide everything for people you don't think can fend for themselves - taking away any purpose in their life. re: Is Pinetta's in Baton Rouge still operating ? - ChEgrad on 7/11/17 at 8:51 pm
I've eaten there maybe half a dozen times in the last 30+ years. Still waiting for a positive experience. Service usually sucked. Food was mediocre typically. Best thing I've had there was the lasagna. In another 5-10 years I'll probably give it another shot....

I have a friend who is one of the leading hydrology/sedimentation engineers in the world. He travels all over the world consulting on projects, including louisiana. What has to happen is simple to understand, apparently difficult to politically implement. Louisiana must: Divert the flow of the...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
