F that. You can't win big when you are strictly a one dimensional team. You must, at least, have a good game manager as a QB. One that can pass effectively. See Alabama as an example.

Miles' philosophy is to keep running no matter what the D gives you, then get in a 3rd and long situation where the D knows you are going to pass. If you are looking to be unsuccessful on offense, choose to do what CLM does.

1. Have an offense like 2013.
2. Have a defense like 2011.
Done.

some engineer you are. you have reached a conclusion w/o an adequate universe.

what kind of strategy is that?

strategy and system are two different things.

the problem with your RCA is that it IS indeed wrong. the qb IS the problem. while his "game" is coming around in several areas, his deficiency is so monumental it ruins all strategy. he can't pass the ball successfully. he can't find the open receiver (although he has improved some on that), and he is just terrifically inaccurate or late in making his throws.

How can you look at the recruiting rankings and the out of conference record and conclude LSU isn't elite?

Read closer.....I am saying that if they had a pro-style QB, Cam could open up the playbook of their system and NOT BE one dimensional. I am saying exactly what you just did

it was said perfectly earlier......this TEAM is not elite. Is LSU an elite program? Absolutely, but the current team is not substantiating that.

hmmmmm.....an engineer you say? So, am I to take it that your deductive reasoning skills are the same as all of my employees who are....wait for it....professional engineers. Oh, I, too, am a professional engineer, otherwise referred to as a PE.

I hate engineers

1. Aggressively recruit the absolute best olineman you can.....whatever it takes. No more projects. Guess who does this? Best way to mitigate a troubled QB system is a strong oline unit.

2. Recruit the QB that fits the system. Les is not going to change his philosophy , so try and find the round peg. Star ratings are worthless without the proper fit.

Great post. Too much blame going on and too few solutions (except fire someone) being proposed. It all starts with a good O'line, and then a QB who is comfortable and can run the system, no matter what his star appeal may be. Lots of overlooked guys in recruiting become good QB's in the right system.

I've come to the conclusion we either don't know how to recruit QBs or they just don't want to come here ?? What is it?
Every week I see frosh QB from lesser programs that are much better QBs than anyone we have had for years. Sheesh!

Do you think this team is elite? LSU is certainly (for now) an elite program

Tigers don't have a problem recruiting QB's. They may have a problem retaining them and recruiting the right QB's for the system they want to run. There is a long list of QB's who have been in and out of the roster for the past 8 years or so.

The system was not different. The playbook was just opened up his senior year, because he had a year in the system to mature and understand it... Jennings doesn't get it yet
