In the market for a little .22 LR plinker, what would you gentleman of the outdoors recommend?

I love my cz455. It does one hole groups out to 75 yards (this is the farthest I had access to shoot it). It is almost too nice of a rifle if you want to lug and throw around though. If you just want to do paper shooting and small game, the cz. If you want to get into faster shooting and expect to throw it around, 10/22.

Hard to be the ruger 10/22 for a semi auto the other on my list would be the henry lever action.

If you decide on a 22WMR instead I got to shoot an excel arms semi auto last week, talk about a blast to shoot...better than my CZ512

I highly doubt it's what you're looking for but my favorite 22 is an old winchester model 67. It's a single shot bolt action with open sights. My uncle had one that I used and my cousin got it when he passed away. It's very accurate and shoots shorts, longs, and long rifles. I could shoot beer bottles in the air with that thing.

15-22 is a fun gun. Remington 752 gives you more flexibility in regards to ammo, not that its a big deal to most people. Just throwing out a couple more suggestions.

Barrel on these are literally pencil thin. Very easily bent.

Henry
S&W MP 15-22
Remington Nylon .22
Ruger 10/22
All solid choices in my opinion.

Whatever you do, get a threaded barrel and a rim fire suppressor.
