My concern if (when) the republicans control both houses

I fear they will see this election as some sort of mandate from the people regarding conservative social values and try to introduce such legislation instead of focusing on the important issues.
My disillusionment with the GOP makes me hesitant over this swing of the pendulum, much as I prefer them in general to the democrats. It is vital the republicans take advantage of this opportunity otherwise 2016 will be a very opportunistic time for liberals.

yeah this election is more of a rebellion against the shite the dems have been doing rather than an endorsement of establishment republicans.
I fully expect them to frick it up

Nothing is going to change.
It's hilarious to watch the red pep rally tonite.
The do nothing Congress did nothing last term and will do nothing this term.
The gridlock marches on.

This change is only a huge deal if Republicans take the white house in 2016.

I prefer gridlock to the alternative. A lame duck Obama administration could be very damaging to this nation's future with two years and a compliant congress.

I once heard elections have consequences.

Never was true.

Exactly. People elected will hoard cash from PACs and do anything to be re-elected to keep the gravy train flowing.

I always enjoy watching an incumbent go down in flames.
I wish Roberts, Cochsucker, and Yertle the Turtle would have lost. I also wish a lot more D assclowns had lost.

If we had gridlock prior to Obamacare, we wouldn't have Obamacare today correct? I will take gridlock over stupid shite everyday.

I agree, Roger. As much as I don't agree with most democratic/liberal politics...I must admit that conservatives don't have a strong long term strategic plan like the Democrats.
I fear for the future because the Democrats own the future at the moment. Republics simply take advantage of the now.
Republicans need to focus on the future even if that means losing every now-and-then.
