JD is a whiney little baby doe. He is always butthurt about something. You think he didn't know that was sabans spot? First news conference ever for JD?

Saban is a good coach but seems like an a$$hole. I'm glad we now have Miles.

The poiny of JD's story is that Saban had no reason to treat him like this, but did. He treated everyone like this from the AD on down. None of them shed a tear when he left and were scared as hell when he almost returned. LM is agreat coach and a better human being. For Saban, ot is a process and people are just part of it. For LM, its about people. Two different perspectives, both successful.

Why do fans care if the coach is an a-hole or not? Winning games/championships is all that really matters. Everything else is just noise.

Right. The comment in the parking lot is one thing. The comment to open the presser, however, was completely unnecessary and just goes to show you what a petty little douchebag saban is. I mean, really? That's what you're worried about?

Sidenote from the article: why did Damien James go awol? After that the 2002 season did just the same. Of course Mauck getting hurt was killer as well.

People don't like assholes and find it easier to cheer for someone that seems human? Seems pretty simple to me.

Not saying I particularly care, but the reasons other people would care are pretty self-evident.

It was. Some fan put the sticker on it.

To fans, it may not matter too much.

To families that have to make the decision on where they want to send their kids for four years of their young life, it may have an impact. Parents want to know their child matters personally to the coach and not just a number on the roster. It's difficult to prove our coaches have this quality, but it does seem these qualities are mentioned more with LM and staff than. NS and staff.

The process got further than people know in 2006-2007. More so in 2007.
