First event was released earlier for all classifications.
3 Lift Complex
1 Squat Clean
1 Front Squat
2 Shoulder to Overhead Press
6 minutes to achieve max weight.
There will be ample time for each heat to warmup before starting the lift.
Basically you clean off the floor into a full squat clean and up to the top position, followed by a front squat and then 2 overhead presses. No limitation to the OH press: Regular Press, Push Press, or Split Jerk, etc it doesn't matter.
Who is in?

Please don't be that guy that makes others hate crossfit people.

An exercise tournament? Awful.

I know, but considering the hate crossfit already gets on this board for people talking way too much in public about crossfit, this may not be the best forum to do so.

If I'm feeling it.. Maybe 215-225.
Going in safe at 175 or so, jumping to 205 and then attempting 225.

I'll be sure to drop off some flyers for the local PTs & Orthos in the area

People still cross fit? I thought that fad died out.

I already have an ortho and PT from injuries prior to crossfit.
No injuries since I started and I typically push myself to Rx whenever possible.
I'll probably be around 185 on competition day.

A bunch have signed up for it from GCF.
I am heading to Miami on Jan 15-20 for Wodapalooza, which appears to be the 2nd biggest National event compared to the Crossfit games.
Some of the qualifying workouts were insane.

The difference with me is that I was in powerlifting/bodybuilding mode before starting it. Most people who start are woefully out of shape and/or don't have much muscle mass.
My Olympic lifting forms are coming along so I should see some improvement in those lifts over the next 6 months.

Shake these frickin haters. Good luck to u man. i loved crossfit when I did it. By far the strongest I had ever been in my life. Never did any competitions. Mostly because I wasn't as dedicated as u need to be. I still work in a lot of what I learned into work outs I do around my house. Been really thinking about getting back into it. But, like I said, good for you for doing something to improve your life and good luck.
