Tesla's "D" unveiling hasn't quite started yet, but USA Today has taken the wraps off for Elon Musk & Co (update: the article has been removed). Fitting into some of the rumors, speculation and a car spotted a few days ago, Tesla is rolling out new all-wheel drive equipped versions of its Model S (check out our review of the original here). The top of the line dual-motor equipped P85D has a measured 0 - 60 time of 3.2 seconds, which should put it among the fastest sedans ever when it starts shipping in December. According to Musk, the system is a "huge improvement" that actually adds efficiency over a single motor -- about 10 miles in range per charge.

Because of this:

and this:

Tesla is also introducing new driver assist features to match and surpass what others like Mercedes and Lexus are doing, like lane keeping and self-adjusting cruise control. Its new cars can read speed limit signs and adjust accordingly, and even change lanes by themselves when the driver activates the turn signal, all powered by a system of 12 sensors that see around the car.

this Tesla will 100% be my next vehicle.

Which, as we all know, is impossible in a big, rolling tank of accelerant.

Tesla is so badass, imagine the shite they will have in 2040. Self-driving, 300mph in the city on solar power!

You ever check out the Tesla "dealership" at fashion square?

Those cars are so nice inside. My husband wants the "economy" one that is coming out soon.

And you still can't have one shipped to Texas. It's against the law to buy a new car anywhere but a dealership. Have to drive to Louisiana.

Married women love taking the D from dudes who drive Tesla's. They automatically think you're a surgeon. Don't know why but Tesla's are big with surgeons.

I guess I'm the only one, but I don't want my car switching lanes for me, adjusting the speed at which I'm driving, beeping at me if I change lanes or take my seatbelt off, etc etc

Y'all can have all of those features. I want to drive my own car.

I wish I got paid enough to afford one of those.

I think it would be super ironic to see some big oil millionaire driving around in one of those

There are Tesla dealers in Louisiana? Look at us moving up in the world.

Forgive my ignorance, this are all electric cars or does Tesla make gas and hybrids?
