re: Texas Man Tried to Pew Armadillo, Ricochet Hit Him in Face. - LouisianaChessie
Used to shoot em with a semi .22. Now I go for the .17 hmr style. Seems to work well and gives 75 more yards easy....

re: Shotgun shells - LouisianaChessie
For teal whatever the cheapest 2 3/4" 4 shot is. For big ducks/geese I like Kent or federal blue box #1 in the heaviest load weight I can get my hands on. Generally 1 9/16 oz for 12 and 1 5/8 oz for 10....

re: OB Poll: what gun to hold for campaign commercial - LouisianaChessie
Of my collection it would between a citori or a model 12. Imo shotgun symbolizes sportsman more than a rifle or pistol and I'd go with a classic....

Have been to exactly one movie since the Colorado shootings without a gun and not only was it simply me not planning my day but I was keyed up like a dog trying to pass a persimmon seed. Frickin movie theaters are a trap....

re: Roundup Weed and Grass Killer - New bed question - LouisianaChessie
RM43 is 58% glyphosate with arsenal mixed in it. Regular roundup is 41% glyphosate. The only thing that's going to keep stuff dead longer is probably a Grazon P+D or maybe a remedy. To the OP unless I'm missing something I don't see how this claim can be made. I'd be surprised if you planted so...

re: Thinking of buying a FNH. Suggestions? - LouisianaChessie
I've shot the fns 40 a few hundred rounds I'd say. Great gun. Trigger is horrid. Fnx in 9 or 45 makes a lot of sense to me. All my carry stuff is 9mm but I'm partial to .45 especially if you can get a ton of rounds out of it like the fnx mags offer....

re: Looking at getting a new puppy! - LouisianaChessie
My current dog was bout close enough to Atlanta on 20. Looked at the pedigree and the pictures of the parents. Got lucky on him. I'll say this though, no matter what you spend on the pup it is relatively cheap based on what you're going to spend in the long run anyways so you may as well spend whate...

re: Browning AB3 Hunter Bolt Action - LouisianaChessie
Just going to throw this out there. A friend of mine that has a rifle in about 25 different caliber a and reloads for them all bought a savage axis 2. I know cheap pos right? Right. Now that that's out of the way I shot an egg off a post at 253 yards laser range finder yesterday. That little cheap a...

re: What's the minimum number of shells you feel comfortable with duck hunting? - LouisianaChessie
When no expectations turns to ducks wanna play 50 yard barrier and life long hunters turn into having hunted 3 times ever, you find yourself needing more shells than you ever thought could be shot by one person. I've seen 4 man limits take literally hundreds of shells. ...
