Well boys, teal season has come to an end. For me, it was terrible, only killing any teal on 2 of my 5 hunts, with 1 killed on one hunt and 2 on another. Typically, the area in bayou black we hunt does not hold a lot of teal, but we usually do better than this. Hopefully this isn't a prelude to what's to come. How'd everyone else fair this teal season?

Only made 3 hunts, and only killed 2 birds. Water was up opening weekend and couldn't get where we needed Sat. Sun killed 2. Last Fri zero teal to be seen. The water dropped through the week and I did not want to fight mud and low water by myself.

It was really bad. I hunted 9 days and we picked up about 65 birds. Two of the 9 hunts were just me. Lowest was 0 highest was 16. Nobody hunted today after a slow day yesterday.

Hunted with Triggerr in Lacassine. Was only able to make two hunts myself. Each hunt had 5 man limits. He hunted a bunch and I think the total for the camp was nearly 175 birds. Limits every hunt but he could provide better numbers. It's been good. Very good.

2 hunts on Manchac WMA; only saw a few teal on weekend #1. Second weekend was a bust and the hydrilla was out of control. Side notes, don't bring your dog...multiple alligators in the ponds which have lost the fear-of-man. Blondie stayed leashed to siderail.

Scouted Biloxi WMA during the end of first weekend in anticipation for a better outcome, but no birds in sight. A few, what appeared to be, fatter then hell resident black ducks.

Never went. My buddies spot where I would have went had work not been crazy as hell limited out all 6 hunts in 15 minutes. 28-40 birds in each hunt. Fml

yeah, seems like lots of mixed results. I had some buddies that hunted in Venice this weekend and slaughtered them. I guess it was where you were at. They killed more birds today and yesterday than I saw in the 5 hunts I made. I'm thinking that big duck season will be much better. Lots of vegetation on our lease. I'm ready!

My daughter and SIL did good most days with limits. Even had the 15 week old pup out working and retrieving birds for them.

Bad thing is that Dad wasn't invited. But they were guess.

Went to look at a lease last week and saw this big arse group of teal.

Looks like they were only in certain areas. I know my pops didn't see shite in SELA.
