The one at 1200 Peniston is rather concerning. One of the nicer areas of town and it was at fricking 730 on a Saturday night.

Meh. Article says "around Uptown." Still pretty scary to be carjacked at 730pm on a Saturday in an area you should feel safe.

Guns and loud dogs are really effective in deterring robberies.

I barely escaped with my life.

Around 3 p.m. Saturday, a Tulane student was in the 800 block of Broadway Street when he was approached by a man with a gun, according to a report from Tulane police.

Finally, around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, a man in his early 20s was getting out of a vehicle in the 1200 block of Peniston Street “when he was approached by two black males, one armed with a black hand gun,” the NOPD report states.

Neither are "bad" areas and neither were late at night. Mitch and the new chief better get their shite together.

Strip malls are amazing. A nice tex mex dinner, drop a package at the ups store, get a pedicure, and picked up a daiquiri all without getting in the car.
