Wonder if she thought it was a good way to get mom and dad to pull her out of school. She was probably failing.

If I was loaded full of white powder and booze, the last people in the world I'm making up a fake story to is the cops.

I can see maybe a girl making something up, but honestly, I really don't see why someone would make up fake robberies

That's some Apu Quickie-Mart shite right there.

It really has to be someone looking to get a large dose of sympathy and attention from classmates and family.

I can just imagine some New Yorker Tulane student showing off how dangerous New Orleans is "OMG guys, it's like so rough down here. I got robbed by gunpoint like 5 times dude"

Does anyone actually say the words "art district" with a straight face? Some kind of forced pretension. Oh I work night shifts the Walmart over there in the arts district.

There is a walmart in the Arts District?

I thought it was full of museums and gallaries (bars/restaurants as well)

It's the warehouse district to most, the people who run the galleries and the restaurants there like "arts" district. Plus you have the museums.

Kind of akin to the people in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan slowly switching the name to Chelsea.

ETA, the map you were responding to, clearly shows the "district" ends at the expressway. The Wally World on Tchoup, is Uptown in the Lower Garden District.

alence was one of the worst streets between Freret and where it ends a few blocks towards Claiborne from Freret. That whole area has multiple houses on almost every block being re-done and a lot already finished.

The last few times I have gone down Valence the street has been lined with construction crews and dumpsters. Good to see
