I have a want for a BLT. Nice toasted bunny bread with some mayo spread on it, lettuce on one side, and a thick tomato slice on the other with the bacon in the middle.

I must have this for dinner tomorrow.

What's the F&DB do different to their BLTs that I may take under consideration.

Okra need not apply.

Thick cut bacon cooked in a cast iron skillet. Otherwise, a BLT needs nothing else. It's greatness exists due to it's simplicity. Don't mess it up.

A homegrown tomato. I don't eat BLT's when I don't have tomatos from my garden or someone local.

Yes, it's all about the bacon. A few weeks back I was up north in the east village and had lunch at a place called Frankie's. It was a heavy drinking day, so I wanted something light. I got the BLT and mother of god it was the best one I've ever had. The bacon was well over a quarter inch thick. I've never seen bacon like that before. Incredible.

Okay, so it seems there's little variation from the classic. The bacon's already in the fridge warming up. I think that I'm going to try the blue cheese on one half of one sandwich and the avocado on the other. The second sandwich shall remain pure and unmodified.

Believe it or not - a double bacon Subway BLT is pretty good. Let them toast the bread. have it dressed the way you like. Whatever amount of mayo you like.

Had two BLT's for dinner last night. Just plain BLT's - lightly toasted and mayo.

Most underrated sandwich out there.
