So there. I admitted it. Is this a step in recovery?

I like it, too, in certain circumstances. It is perfect, shredded, beneath shrimp remoulade. Or napped with blue cheese & bacon, or used to wrap chopped chicken & water chestnuts stir fried with hoisin. I like it as a layer in 7-layer salad (a near forgotten relic that deserves to be revived), or stuffed inside a fat BLT.
That said, I really don't want a giant bowl of it as a so-called salad.

I like ketchup on a burger
I use okra and tomatoes in my seafood gumbo
I will sometimes cook a ribeye past med rare
I use cream of mushroom soup to make creamed spinach
wow...I feel better already

The 1st step is admitting you have a problem. Whether or not iceberg lettuce is a problem is up to you. I personally love the shite. What other lettuce are you going to make a shrimp remoulade from??

My favorite salad is a wedge salad.

I'm currently hooked on gem lettuce. What a great crunch. Had it last night under West Indies salad. DY NO MITE!

I hate iceberg only salads with the exception of the wedge.

I assume the Admin banished to the F&DB today either (a) doesn't like iceberg or (b) doesn't know iceberg lettuce from the crack in his arse. Wonder which it is?

Geez, I wonder why this got the anchor. It's about lettuce. I'd request anchor relief.

What's not to like? I think it's a comfort thing for me because that's all I wanted when I was younger. I don't ever find myself buying it. Anyway, I use Spinach almost 100% of the time.

there is nothing I despise more in the culinary world than a wedge salad.
