50000 pages of "evidence" that ended up being nothing, with recantations (or denials) from supposed "witnesses" = multiple suspensions (including season long for SP) - fricks the Saints

Ray Rice - "blind" investigation leads to nothing discipline, then leads to termination/suspension, causing turmoil for the Ravens

I am sensing two "yea" votes for termination.

while i see your point...the ravens should have cut him immediately. the ravens front office has just as much blame here as goodell

I love how people forget that the Saints were warned multiple times but didn't stop.

But whatever.

they cut him, they have to fight with the NFLPA.

they sit back and let the Commish discipline him, that's not their fight (and, let's be honest, considering Goodell's hammer, would you not have expected at least a 1/2 season suspension?)

I can see why they didn't

but goodell still ruined their franchise?

if they had the evidence, the NFLPA wouldn't say a damn thing

The saints fricked themselves. This Ray Rice botched investigation is in a different stratosphere than the saints bounty program.

Some saints fans just can't accept this.

Link?

Or is this the one time in the last 5 years where Roger Goodell was telling the truth? Because he has proven to be so damn trustworthy.

I love how people believe known liars when the lies fit their preferred narrative.

i love how people conveniently choose to believe what they read only to suit a predetermined opinion.

Some Saints fans don't drink the Goodell kool aid like the sheeple; if Goodell says they were warned multiple times it must be true.

I haven't really given you much inclination of what i actually believe or don't believe. Truth be told, its hard to form an opinion with such little public evidence and testimony from those that matter. Saints had to keep their mouth shut cause they were at the mercy of goodell still.

Because Goodell PROMISED them that if they laid low and kept their mouths shut and played fair, they would get their 2013 second round pick back.

Yeah, Goodell lied about that too.

So tarnish their legacy and organization all just to keep a 2nd round pick... no.

I think we probably did have a bounty program, along with most teams.

That doesn't change the fact that Goodell flat out lied about the evidence that they had. What started out as a multiple game bounty program turned into a 1 game pay for performance that couldn't be proven.

And their source was pathetic

Agreed. That was more a general statement, not so much directed at you.

A lot of people are guilty of forming opinions based on what suits their predetermined opinion, not just Saints fans.
