Explain that logic.
When did the NFL become the most popular thing on the planet?
Americentrism is the idea or perceived bias to judge other cultures and nations by American standards or to center around the United States in news. It refers to the ethnocentric and xenophobic practice of viewing the world from an explicitly U.S. perspective, with an implied belief, either consciously or subconsciously, in the preeminence of U.S. culture

When, or why? I think you could make a good argument that the NFL has become the single most popular entertainment product in recent years. I would probably attribute that more to fantasy football than anything Goodell or anyone else has done, but the success during the 8 years of his reign is pretty undeniable.
Now, if I were arguing against me, I might say that Goodell has allowed problems to fester that could blow up and tarnish the league significantly in the near to mid range, but I don't really know if that's true or not. I can't imagine the NFL can sustain at present rates, so I'm sure some decline is coming, but how soon, I don't know.

your trying to say that because the NFL is successful that RG must be the one responsible...actually its very applicable here

Doesn't change your use of a false cause fallacy. The fact that he noted the wrong fallacy, does not make your argument less fallacious. Do you know what the NFL's growth rate and potential were prior to Goodell becoming commissioner? Can you show a positive delta in the data after his becoming commissioner?
Do you have any proof or evidence that Roger Goodell's work as commissioner has directly created a positive delta versus the second order projection?

you still dont get it.
Futbol is the most popular thing on the planet...and it isnt even close.
Football is the most popular is the US. The NFL is the best PRO LEAGUE for Fb in the US.

Ok, what's bigger internationally? I was being hyperbolic, but I still can't really think of a bigger product. There are bigger teams in the EPL and La Liga, but the NFL still trumps these for obvious reasons.

You would lose that argument.
futbol >>> football

Uh, that isn't a slippery slope argument. It's probably closer to a non-sequitur, but I'm not even claiming Goodell is responsible. I'm saying it'll be difficult to argue against the correlation, and will be even more difficult to get people to believe it.
If he's out, it'll be he finally hit a scandal with serious PC implications.

It's the best league in the nation that has the most sports consumers, and it isn't close.

Fine, best is qualitative. It's the biggest and most valuable, and that really isn't disputable.

In the US, yes. But baseball isn't far behind.
Globally, the EPL, La Liga, etc, are tops

By what measure? I'm pretty sure the NFL is more valuable than either EPL and La Liga by a clear margin. Actually, MLB appears to be pretty close to EPL, if not ahead.

why is the financial health of the league or popularity being discussed
was the NFL not popular when he took over? Is it possible, that a foundation had been laid whose momentum is still propelling the league forward?
anyone who thinks the NFL isn't a juggernaut without Goodell is seriously deluded

I don't think that's the case. But it does so happen that Goodell was there when the NFL went from very wealthy to print money wealthy.
This isn't so much about defending Goodell, which I really don't care about, as it is about the fact that removing the head of an organization when the organization is, both from financial and popularity perspectives, at its all time high, is difficult. This site is naturally skewed against Goodell in a way that probably wasn't the case everywhere else before this week. I do think there has been a lot of grumbling against Goodell for some time, but I don't know that everyone is clamoring for a change like Saints fans have been.
Whether that changes now, we'll just have to see.
