What bulk coffee do you buy... and where?

Looking for options here. For years I bought the fancy whole bean coffee at Sam's and vacuum sealed the extra beans. Was actually really good coffee.
Now they only carry the coffees that I don't care to drink.
I'm probably going to have to order online, so I've started looking on Amazon.
Any experiences with a really good dark roast whole bean that I can buy in bulk online(2.5 to 5# bags)?

I buy 1# bags of Starbucks' Ethiopian Blend. It's really good.

You don't say where you are located, but you could just go to Orleans Coffee out in Kenner and buy direct from the roaster: LINK /
Orleans also has online ordering.

Glad you mentioned that one, any recommendations from Orleans Coffee?
ETA: This one sounded interesting to me.

Sulawesi Toraja
Heavy, creamy body. Spicy flavor tones with a soft acidity. Wonderfully balanced. One of my favorite coffees and I want you to check it out and love it, too!

Thanks for that link. I'll check them out and probably give them a shot.

I've been ordering from Coffee Bean Direct for years. Shipping is free with orders of at least 25 pounds. (5 pound foil bags) I pool orders with people at work. The prices, selection, and coffee are great!

My daily coffee is OC's Espresso Italia roast...it's an (obvi) Italian style espresso roast, a bit lighter than OC's "Crema" roast.

That one sounds good too. Think I'm going to order 1# of the Espresso Italia roast and 1# of the Sulawesi Toraja.
After you posted that, I emailed the company. Lady said you have to order 24 hours in advance if you're planning on picking up at the store.
Have you ever been? It looks like it's in a warehouse near the airport.

It is exactly that, a warehouse past the airport. Great company, awesome people, amazing coffees and teas. They made the peach tea and lavender lemonade for Hogs this past year.

Oh good, maybe they'll accept some of my leftover tickets as payment.....

Shoot, Id claim those leftover tickets as a tax deduction, my man.

Yes, it is a warehouse roastery off of Airline Hwy past the airport. Just barely in Jeff Parish. Small storefront office....to order retail, you need to give 'em 24 hrs advance notice, but they'll bag up whatever you want. OC sells a full line of teas as well.
Orleans sells custom roasted coffee blends to a bunch of places: Windsor Court hotel, La Divina, Rouse's, etc. Your favorite independent coffee shop might be using a custom roasted blend from OC.
Nice people, locally owned business. What's not to like? Those guys have been roasting & blending since before "third wave" coffee was a thing. No hipster pretension, no holier than thou attitude, no cutesy vintage truck, etc. Just good coffee.

this is the winner. they supply many of the high end restaurants in the area, and it shows when you taste it.
Their creole chicory is GOAT.
ETA: They do a fantastic job on their website of describing the tastes of all the coffees. I order 4 pounds a month from them, and have been for the past 2 years. I have also turned others onto them as well, and they love it. You will never buy another brand again

Comparing preground, k-cup coffee to freshly roasted whole beans is like comparing Spam to mangalitsa pork.

Do they have more than just the Pike's Place? That's all Sam's carries. I guess that's what I get for shopping at trashy Sam's.
And yes, I realize this is a thread about "good" coffee, but use the k-cups and the Starbuck's is serviceable.

OC's site looks awesome. Think I may try a few of their flavored coffee's. What is the regular grind of coffee, coarse or fine?

Go to world market and buy Jamaican Blue Mountain Roast, my personal favorite.
Just bought a big bag of it and my coffee grinder broke two cups into it
