At days smokehouse in Watson by the new high school. I just bought two, these things are the size of softballs. They might be the best boudin balls I've ever had.

Sounds like they jumped on the Billy's band wagon with a twist...
Billys uses pepper jack and they are the size of soft balls.... they also do boudin egg rolls..

Nope they don't even need it. It's already perfect.

Days is awesome.... I really like the regular pepper jack stuffed boudin balls. I've had quite a few things from there and it's all been great

You gotta be shitting me. What's next? Jalapeno and cream cheese Chex mix? Or Chex cereal? I feel like this is going too far.

I'd try it.

Yep!

Boudin is good. Cracklins are good. Meat pies are good.

I just had red beans and rice with their Jalapeno Sausage.

A bacon wrapped crispy boudin ball sounds yummy to me. I don't want the cream cheese in with the rice, though. I also love and adore bacon wrapped shrimp and oysters that are fried...en brochette. Yum.

At least the early 2000's. I remember that as a big camp appetizer when I was in middle school.

That has been happening at duck camps in mer rouge and hwy15 for the last 25 years....at least.

It started with dove breasts and moved on from there. Another Mecca original.

I've been eating bacon wrapped quail with jalapeno since I was a little boy and I'm 44 yrs old.

It's not new, but certainly became more popular since the '90s if I had to put a date on it. But my Dad used to grill the above quail back in the '70s.
