I just rewatched the first season and I totally forgot about Aman's death scene with his brother Tarrlok. That was very powerful and really well done.

This weeks was pretty good, looks like Korra may be back in the game finally.

Like the bring back of Zaheer, just seems like the past 3 season villains were better than Kuvira.

Kuvira is certainly better than Unalaq. I think she's a fine villain, although not quite up to Zaheer, who I think is the best villain in the franchise.

I have to give that to Amon

I like the Unalaq season far better because we got a lot more behind the avatar with Raava and Vaatu.

I like the direction this season is going, but I just don't like Kuvira as a villain. Part of the problem might be we got the best villain of the series last season and went to one of the worst of the series.

That was a good storyline, wish it still was part of the backdrop of Republic City.

If I had to rank the main arc villains of the franchise:

1) Zaheer
2) Azula
3) Amon
4) Kuvira
5) Zhao
6) Unalaq/Vaatu
7) Ozai

It was definitely nice to see her pick up some confidence. I wonder if getting her connection back to Raava will bring back her connection to the past avatars.

Seeing Zaheer in this one was a really nice twist that I didn't see coming at all. The super weapon will have to be some bad stuff for Kuvira to stand any chance against Korra now that she has her full power back.

It was fairly cheesy of Opal to use Bolin's desperation to get her back to have him come on the mission to save her family. She could have just asked him and she would have followed her without the whole, "there is one thing you can do to win me back" routine.

Final Episode titles revealed

223 "Operation: Beifong"
224 "Kuvira's Gambit"
225 "Day of the Colossus"
226 "The Last Stand"

So I'm guessing the Friday will be about rescuing Lin's sister and the two sons.
Next episode maybe the death or Batar Jr

Final two are real interesting seems to imply Kuvira has developed a mega air ship and will use the "Spirit Bomb" to wipe out any army in her way.

Pretty good episode this week.

Dawgfan was right about rescuing the captured Beifong family. Was disappointed we didnt really get to see Toph hulk out on Kuvira and it doesnt look like we will.

This episode did provide my new favorite bending fight scene though!

You get to see Toph, not as much as I was hoping, but she does get in on some bending.

Some good stuff this week. Zhu Li ftw.

Pretty good battle with Kuvira. I just don't like how she went from this lowly bender that got her arse handed to her with Zaheer to this high end bender.

You are right about Kuvira, she did go from a middle of the pack bender against Zaheer to a bad arse.

That fight scene was one of the sickest things I've seen in animation. Really brought it hard.

I really liked the way they used Toph. Wish Opal would show more fighting value. I like serious Bolin, wish they'd let him be more often.

Nice to see a shred of integrity from Bataar Jr.

Toph flexing her bending muscles and kuvira 's reaction of concern with Toph joining in was nice. She didn't quite hold up as well as king buumi though

I enjoyed this episode, but there is a major flaw in it: why didn't the Beifongs just kill Kuvira right there? I don't think she would have stood much of a chance against all of the Beifongs combined, or maybe even Toph alone.

Toph said using her power caused major strain on her body. Not to mention that she wants to stay out of it unless her family is in danger. She feels that the problem is for her kids and grandchildren to handle. Su wasn't doing too good against kuvira as it was and the others were holding the soldiers at bay until Toph showed up as they were getting overrun.

Even without Toph, I still think they stand a pretty good chance on beating her. 5 metalbending Beifongs, an airbending Opal, and of course Bolin, who can create and bend lava. Think they should have been able of taking Kuvira on charging her 7 on 1.

If they do that, then the last few episodes are just them sitting around shooting the breeze.

They couldn't even get to her. Only Su made it to kuvira. The rest were doing everything they could to hold of the army and then got over run until Toph showed up. When Toph got there, Su was already beat up a bit so count her out at that point. 7 against an army of mech suits and benders was going to be tough if not impossible and Toph even said that just getting everyone out of prison was going tto take everything they had.

But Bolin is still just under Toph as far as badass Earthbenders is concerned. Would really like to see a 1 on 1 battle between him and Kuvira before the series is over.
