A Little Tribute to My Old Lab Banner

Great hunting buddy and a best friend for the last 13 years. We lost him two weeks ago at age 14. All of these pics are from his last season. He had over twenty specs picked up in the month of November and enjoyed every minute of the season. Hunting without him won't be the same.

14 years is pretty good for a lab. We lost ours around 10. Best dogs in the world. RIP Banner.

Face looks just like my 1 year old female lab Ellie, sorry for your loss. Can't imagine how sad I'll be when it's her time to go.

why do i always click these threads?! I had to put down my black lab a couple weeks ago, sucked but i wasnt near attached to him because he is at my parents house and ive been out of there 9 years now. But when one of my yellows go im gone be a mess

One thing I didn't say bout my buddy, and i need to. It shows the level of intelligence he had.
He never, ever, not once shite in the middle of a rice levee. Always crapped to one side or the other...always. He knew no one wanted to step in a pile of dog crap. Most dumbass dogs don't have that sensibility. Banner was human in more ways than many.
