Does anyone know if this is going to be a full 2 days this year? I thought last year Friday night was just for teams setting up and cooking and Saturday was the real deal.

My favorite food fest in NOLA by far!

You can try searching for some previous threads on here. There will be a few options for the public to participate on events Friday evening. It is not like what takes place on Saturday though.

I would think their website has the info. If not, BlackenOut will probably be along to lay the facts out.

Thanks. I couldn't find the info on their site but noticed they had bands going Friday night which I didn't remember happening last year.

Not 2 full days, but 1.5.

Friday, gates open at 4, and 11 on Saturday.

Looking at my tickets right now. As suggested, BlackendOut will have all the most recent info.

Happy to answer your questions.

We will have live music on Friday night as other posters have mentioned. Our teams wont have bbq for sample, but many of them throw parties at their tent and that is a lot of fun.

We will have some non bbq vendors out there this year, Theo's Pizza Truck and a private caterer who will be selling food Friday night. We will also be selling beer, wine, hogtails and the like.

In addition, this year Hogs is vending its own non-pork food items in conjunction with Liberty's Kitchen. Looking like a cowboy caviar, black bean slider, beef slider (the MVB recipe), a crawfish roll (similar to a lobster roll), and an old fashioned nectar soda (nectar, vanilla ice cream, soda).

Hope to see you out there. Enjoyed meeting Rohan2Reed last year, I think he bummed me a designer cigarette for Anders.

Single day admission (Fri or Sat) is $15 pre sale, $25 at door.

2 day Boss Hog is $150 - entrance both days, plus re-entry. Access to Boss Hog tent with private bathrooms, open premium bar, viewing stand for main stage, and front row access for main stage. Single day Boss Hogs available as well.

Try not to worry much about the cost. Go read about the awesome charity cause that this event supports.

I would probably do the single day Boss Hog pass. How does the BBQ work. DO i get to go sample all the different teams etc? Do I have to pay individually for them?

To any of the RDV crew, think I have an extra ticket. It's the 2 day pass. FYI

Yes, I've been 4 years. You buy BBQ from the teams. It's not expensive at all. Good times.

And I'll have beers for you this Sunday if you are in uptown NOLA.

I've never done the VIP tix so I can't say. I will tell you the gen admin tix is one of the best fest deals in the city.

The general admission plus buying bbq from teams and beers/drinks from stands is probably a good way to get feet wet. Public sampling is from 12 - 4 although many teams start earlier and run late.
