I think it is just about any family business, once it goes to the children, they never get along

As a customer. Their pissing matches seem to weaken the product.

Come on you could pretty much say that about every thread on the ot. We're not here to have deep conversations about philosophy or world peace.

Pretty much any family owned restaurant that is between 2nd and 3rd generation ownership. You see it a lot with a good number of businesses.

Someone's having a bad day

Add in The Don's family. There was a big conflict there.

Can personally attest to this. The 1st generation builds it up. The next generations enjoy the money, make an attempt to try and run the place, and bring it down.

Looking back to kids I grew up with who inherited family businesses. The kids enjoyed the fruits of the parents labor and then when it was time for them to take over, they lost. They thought they could sit around, the money would roll in and they would not have to pay attention to the details. Really pisses me off to see that .
The handful that did work have grown the businesses to levels their parents would really be proud of. But they are few.

I wish I could have grabbed my family's restaurant from them. I wouldn't have been ready then but I am now.

The Fontenot's.

Man, that was some serious shite. Still going on today, too.

Not just the restaurant business. Look at Ford. Or Books-A-Million. Or some of the pro sports franchises where the newer generation of owners is stupid.
