New Orleans can add 1(MLB, NHL, MLS), what do you choose?

New Orleans higher ups announce the city is looking to add another major sports franchise to the city and asks for input on what sport the residents of the Gulf Region would like to add, what would be your choice?
My first instinct was to say MLB, because it is my favorite sport, but after further thought I realized that LSU baseball fills my needs of a local baseball team, and I've been an Astros fan for too long to switch my allegiance at this point.
So that narrows it down to Soccer or Hockey for me. I think at this point in time, NHL hockey is a slightly superior product to the MLS, even though I have followed soccer more closely over the years of the two. I think the intensity of playoff hockey is ultimately the deciding factor for me in choosing the NHL. I'd love to be more interested in the NHL, and without having a local team, or local (Louisiana) players in the league, it's almost impossible for me to have any more than casual interest.
NHL is the choice for me, interested to hear others thoughts.
Edit: NHL apparently didn't exist in my phones vocabulary, damn autocorrect.

The correct answer is cricket.

I'd want an MLS team (there's enough youth soccer kids and Hispanics within a 75 mile radius to more than support that team).
I think an NHL team would be faster/easier and they could rock the Smoothie King.

I want for us to restore our hooligan heritage.

MLB would allow guys like me to follow the league more closely and root for a local team.

Going to a hockey game in NOLA would be awesome. If they put a decent product on the ice, it'd be successful.

1. MLS
2. MLB
I pick the mls over mlb because of LSU baseball and being a red sox fan. it is a tough choice though because having a mlb team here would be awesome.

NHL. Have any of you been to a professional hockey game before?
It's probably the most awesome sport to watch live. And I'm not even a hockey fan.

MLL. Without a doubt.

I think MLB would bomb.
As some have alluded to, there are too many hard allegiances in New Orleans and surrounding areas to other teams. Cubs, Astros, and Braves. Would be very difficult to pull enough from each to form a fanbase IMO.

Hockey teams in the south just seem unnatural to me. Give me MLS or MLB
