Sure it is bittersweet as Hell, but you better bet your arse that the top recruits consider LSU's track record of sending kids to the league while making EARLY PLAYING TIME a reality versus blowing smoke.

Telling a kid he will get to play early with veterans in queue is nothing compared to a spot up for competition.

I was concerned with Turner leaving versus all the rest, but have begun to accept it can be a somewhat beneficial thing and not just bad.

Finally someone that makes some sense posting on this board.

I still love all the retards that say LSU is the only school losing this much talent.

Bama has already lost 4 underclassmen to the draft this year.

quote:

Fellow Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and defensive lineman Jeoffrey Pagan and linebacker Adrian Hubbard have already all declared as early entrants into the draft.

Vinnie Sunseri declared as well. He would be the 4th.

I agree but I feel like we are losing about 2/3 guys more than I am comfortable with that really affect the next team.

Losing 6+ every year is killer.

That was Saban's go to argument for players coming to Bama his initial recruiting year.

Come to Bama and play early.

So we should be happy that our actual team is getting weaker for the possibility of high school kids joining the team the following year? Oh man, let me try to contain my excitement. I guess Robinson, Noil and Willis all missed the NFL factory memo this year.

not spinning it at all. Rather, I am putting the future of staffing the respective positions in perspective.

Losing an experienced olineman is indeed a negative.

I hope some of the youngins come in and spread their high star POTENTIAL.

All I put in that post was their defensive players. Might want to think before you try to make a point.

It's clearly a growing trend that will affect many schools. Still though, LSU lost more players than the two schools with the 2nd and 3rd highest numbers of players leaving early combined last year. So in that aspect, the retards are accurate. Just speaking for this year - I can't think of another team losing as much talent as just Jeremy Hill, ODB and Jarvis Landry. It's not anyone's fault because they're great players and are NFL-ready. It's just the way it is...then throw in the other guys.

Looks like LSU will have 17 players leave early for the NFL draft in a 2 year span(if Collins goes too). That just doesn't even seem possible.

They have some good players leaving, but I wouldn't put them on the same level as the impact these guys had at LSU. Hill is one of the best RBs I've ever seen at LSU and Landry and ODB are the first duo in LSU history to both have 1,000+ yards receiving in the same season (and it's only happened two other times in SEC history I believe).
