Same here, but they weren't supposed to show up very quickly to begin with.

I am really contemplating churning that AA Citi Card for 100K. I can basically put 3 months rent on it and hit the spending threshold. I don't see any downside. $200 for 100kmiles seems too good to pass up

shite, if you can charge your rent and hit it that easy, fricking do it...

Make us all jelly

I don't have recurring payments that I could put on there to get it to that point, but if I did, I sure as hell would. I would have to wait until I was going to make some major purchase in a row.

I recently purchased a new car so I have inquiries now. I won't get any new cards for at least 6 months which is fine. I only want to add 2-3 more and that will give me plenty of time to come up with the best scenario.

I want cards that allow me to transfer to other airlines or that offers the miles of my choice and right now it looks like the Citi Executive and the Chase British Airways.

I was talking to my wife about it and the funny thing is that I will probably use British Airways miles the most and never set foot on one of their planes.

They only accept Visa and MC and there is a $30 fee. So honestly I would be paying $290 for 100K AA miles but that is still worth it to me. I can let my fiancée burn through AA miles rather than my delta ones

I have never used miles to actually buy a flight...

How many flights can you get out of 100k?

Four round trips continental US on American if you shop your miles correctly.

If I was using British Airways Avios miles for the same American flights I could get up to 11 round trip flights of 650 miles or less.

Correct, it's 4 domestic roundtrips in the lowest award bracket.

Easily.
And you can get more bang for your buck than that. Probably upwards of $5k on some international biz class seating.

Also comes with free booze/snacks in airports, luggage, priority check-in. Pretty damn good value for $200...well it actually probably end up costing me close to $275.

Sorry for noob question, but how does one use AA miles on BA? As in how can I link the miles on AA Citi Card to BA flights?

Ok, dumb question, the free booze/snacks... If I got it and then purcased a ticket for myself and SO with the pts, would she also get access to those perks?

The club access is available to you anytime you are at an airport with an Admirals Club. It doesn't matter who you are flying with. It allows for 2 guests I believe, but I was allowed my wife and 2 guests last time I entered one.

Interadesting... I bet I could convince her to let me charge all of her stuff onto that card and together we could get to 10k

Set up an Amazon Payments account. Send $1k to her monthly. That is almost 1/3 of it right there. Might take a little effort to hit it, but it's definitely worth it.

Explain? I'm guessing it is like a Paypal? What fees are associated?
