Had planned on doing Peche but they are booked. I'm thinking NOLA, Mr Bs, Borne. Party of 4 from BR. Any price range.

I'd give Marti's a try. Buddy at work went and said it was a fine time.

also consider La Boca or Root.

I heard La Boca was moving into A Mano's old location, but not sure how accurate that info is. Would check and see if that's already happened.

I have reservations for 18 Saturday night and they didn't mention anything to me about moving. So if it's happening, it hasn't happened yet.

Has anyone else heard about them moving into A Mano?

Nope. I just called and made the reservation. He didn't seem to have any pause when I gave that number. So I guess accommodating us isn't a problem. LOL

18 people? That sounds like a miserable time.

OP - try Eat

I'd let one person do the ordering, apps and steaks and wine around, then let the servers pick up those ordering specialty cocktails. They do family style well, and it's pretty easy to group order. Makes it nice to interact passing around the more unique items. We've done that many people there and it was super easy. They enjoyed having to only go through one person as well. We ate like kings then all split the bill.

Having 18 people at my bday dinner sounds like an amazing time to me.

One person doesn't need to do the ordering. For groups over 10, it's a set menu with the Chef's tasting. You get several things family style and then each person orders their own cut of steak.

No one is drinking cocktails. We're all drinking wine and I'm in charge of selecting all of it.

The dinner is a set cost per person, so the bill will be split equally.

It will be very smooth and easy.

Hijack: I have reservations at Peche for the end of next week. Any suggestions on a good place to grab a round or two of drinks before dinner (in the vicinity, of course)? TIA.
