If you were gonna buy new what would it be? Strictly for hunting, no mud pro snorkeld crap. Always had Hondas, but thinking Arctic Cat or Yamaha 400ish? Opinions?

Easy as hell to work on with no electronics

I had a Suzuki King Quad 250 growing up. Put over 2,000 miles on it and nary a problem. I've had a 2008 King Quad 400 (bought in part b/c it's one of the last few you can get w/ a foot shift) and never had a problem. The carburetor is a little cold blooded but the choke works fine for that. They're all Fuel injected now so that's not even an issue on the newer bikes. Pretty cheap too. Out the door for $5600.

Honda rearends suck, the wheelbearings look like bicycle bearings and the new motors arent what they used to be. and they are 3wheel drive at best.

Arctic cat just plain sucks.

Yamahas are good.

Polaris has the best fourwjeelers ans sxs since 04.
They are heavy but they ride better, pull better and last longer. Best 4x4 system by far.
I own an atv repair shop and I recomend a fuel inj polaris sportsman. you can get a 500 for $5000 around here.

My dad sold his 1989 Honda Fourtrax about 2 years ago. It took a little while to warm up compared to the 2003 Rancher, but she still gets rollin and just refuses to die.

My vote: Honda.
