re: Why hasn't auto insurance come down yet
Posted by Cajun Slick on 4/16/24 at 1:31 pm
My wife is dealing with a non at fault accident /repair as we speak. Our vehicle has been sitting at the body shop for 2 months now waiting on parts to be delivered with no delivery date confirmation as of yet. Her rental is just clocking up $. Before Covid I was in a similar accident, my truck s...
re: Deer Processing Percentages?
Posted by Cajun Slick on 11/21/23 at 9:39 pm
Bourgeois in Thibodaux does a 50/25/25 deer/pork/beef ground mix that is the best tasting I’ve had yet. It also is the only ground mix that holds together when making burgers. I recommend trying it. Bonus = grab a pack of their beef jerky while you’re there....
re: Best ATV value
Posted by Cajun Slick on 11/16/23 at 10:49 am
Suzuki makes a phenomenal ATV. I’ve owned two since 1995 and never had ONE problem that wasn’t related to normal wear and tear. My Dad has had one since 2014. Same reliability. Suzuki makes bikes that live up to Honda’s reputation. Honda can’t even say that.
As for value and ride quality, their...
Israeli citizens aren’t allowed to own firearms?
Posted by Cajun Slick on 10/7/23 at 9:47 pm
Israeli law allows citizens to carry weapons under certain conditions, such as requiring one for work or living in an area of the country that faces heightened security risks. People who are eligible can own a single gun and 50 bullets
This is googles response to my query. Seems l...
re: Hype video to try to top LSU football program's one. Spent 40+ hours on this. Y'all enjoy.
Posted by Cajun Slick on 8/29/23 at 12:22 am
Great job on the video, but….what happened to the good ole days where hype videos were set to some kick arse music that you know, hyped you up? I felt like I was watching a movie preview or something. I want to feel like I can run through a wall after watching an LSU Football hype video. Could jus...
re: Car- Outside Temperature Indicator
Posted by Cajun Slick on 8/5/23 at 5:22 pm
My 2009 Silverado’s sensor was located behind the front grill near the radiator. I had it changed once due to inaccuracy, but the replacement gave the same readings so I just gave up. I think they all read a few degrees hotter than actual temp....

Give Suzuki a look. They’re just as reliable as Honda and would be perfect for your needs...
re: Polaris Ranger battery recs
Posted by Cajun Slick on 4/29/23 at 3:04 am
My 4-wheeler is 15 years old and I’ve only replaced the battery once. The OE battery was made by Yuasa. I got 7 years out of that one and it was working fine when I replaced it. I only replaced it because I thought there was no way a battery could last longer than that. I was worried about being ...
re: Friday afternoon drinking thread

Just cracked open a classic Miller L on the back patio “a fine pilsner beer” indeed. Bout to light the coals on the pit. Waiting on the Tigers to pound the gumps ...
re: Boat launches around BR

Where can you go crabbing from this launch? I have a dozen drop nets set at 10-12 feet deep. Would these work there?...
re: Amazing Bud Light has made it this long?
Posted by Cajun Slick on 4/15/23 at 2:42 pm
Wrong. 4.5%. Are you too dumb or edgy to Google
Y light is 4% fyi. Y premium light is 3.5, so we were both wrong. It’s still not nearly as good as Miller Lite. ...
re: Amazing Bud Light has made it this long?
Posted by Cajun Slick on 4/15/23 at 2:16 pm
The real miracle is how the F Michelob ultra ever became popular. That trash tastes like carbonated water. I didn’t think anyone could make a less “beer” tasting beer than Coors light, but they pulled it off. It’s the only beer I’d poor down the sink if someone gave it to me for free. Yeungling ...
re: Pulling a boat with ATV
Posted by Cajun Slick on 4/10/23 at 10:55 pm
You should be fine if it’s just a Jon boat. Especially if you’ve got a big bore ATV with a low gear and differential lock. The tongue weight on the rear tires should help. ...

re: Basin Bridge issues?

It’s 2pm and it’s still a parking lot. Google traffic says the interstate is closed in henderson. Anyone know what’s going on? Nothing on Lafayette dots twitter ...
Can I rifle hunt hogs during deer bow season?
Posted by Cajun Slick on 10/5/22 at 4:56 pm
There are some pigs that started coming out to my feeder during daylight. I want to take my son (he’s 8) to the camp to try and take one. I did a quick google search and couldn’t find a definitive answer. ...
re: Educate me on leveling lift kits
Posted by Cajun Slick on 9/6/22 at 10:19 pm
I put a 2 inch level on a 09 Silverado. Upper ball joints gave out at 40-50k miles. Luckily I had the truck in the shop due to tire noise and the tech pointed it out to me. If I had to do it over would buy a set up that comes with new, beefier upper A-arms and ball joints. Can’t remember the man...
re: Recommend EDC knife
Posted by Cajun Slick on 8/29/22 at 4:06 pm
I love the kershaws for their easy assist opening. Can pull it out, open it effortlessly and close it alll single handed. That’s everything for me in an EDC knife. Price is goid and quality is reasonable. I can lose em or damage them and not give it a second though because they’re pretty cheap. ...
re: 1/2 ton Pickup truck ranking

Long time Chevy fan. Switched to Ram in 21. By far my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned. The feeling of overall quality from the ride, cabin noise level, smoothness of the transmission and effortless power from the engine is a step above anything I’ve owned. Never thought I’d say that about a dod...
