Harbaugh’s name surfaced last week in reports that he would be among the coaches that the University of Texas would target to replace Mack Brown. Sources told CSNBayArea.com that Harbaugh has no desire to return to the college ranks.

But Harbaugh was apparently talking about the reports that he is on Texas’ list when he called it “hearsay.”

“In Judge Judy’s court, hearsay is not admissible evidence,” Harbaugh said. “I think we can all agree that an unnamed source is hearsay.

“I see unnamed sources related to many of these topics. And it’s my point that an unnamed source is hearsay. And in the court of public opinion, why would you give any of that credibility?

Added Harbaugh: “Beware of unnamed sources. They speak with forked tongue.”

Was Harbaugh saying that stuff with a straight face? I have no doubt he isn't interested in the job, but he just kind of went off on a tangent there.

where in that rant did he deny it? he did a great job of saying a lot and deflecting, but he never said he had not interest, no truth at all to it, not going, etc.

If i'm a betting man the next Texas coach is Harbaugh or Fisher.

That is similar to saying "I am not going to be the next coach at Texas"

That's certainly more profound than his jive turkey gobblers rant.

Someone needs to tell him the sources aren't real outside the message board forums.

If Harbaugh wanted to coach in college, he would be at Michigan right now.

I have a hard time believing Harbaugh would leave the niners for anywhere. Super Bowl contender year in year out, new stadium, etc.

The hearsay rule is the most commonly misunderstood rule of evidence.
