Lenny's - multiple locations in manhattan. Soup, salads, sandwiches, coffees. My gf literally grew up at Lenny's and our last trip every morning got coffee there. Our last day I decided to get lunch. The #1 is the Lenny classic corned beef & pastrami on rye for only $8.95. Awesome. Just awesome. Plenty food for 2. Much better than the touristy delis.
Burger Joint - located inside Parker Meridian hotel, little dingy burger dive located just off the lobby. Cheap burgers and beer.
Down The Hatch - felt like I was at Tigerland. Late 20s early 30s crowd. Plenty drunk skanks.
Rudy's Bar - I always post about this place. The defined dive bar. Cheap drinks, free hot dogs, and a back patio.

All the way to an amazing food city like New York for cheap burgers, beer, dive bars, and deli sandwiches.

Somebody spent some time in Hell's Kitchen. Should have gone across the street to Marseille and Five Napkin Burger. Lots of good eats in the area.

Uhh.. I'm guessing you purposely omitted free hotdogs and plenty of skanks to try to solidify your point?
Solid review OP, bookmarked. I wasn't planning on a trip to NYC anytime soon, but I think my plans have changed.

I know, not one mention of street food or pizza.

Lenny's
Is this the same sandwich shot that we have all over Houston as well? Or is this some type of famous "Lenny's" that is not affiliated with the chain?

Ok I've been to plenty other restaurants and bars, I just like posting any place that's affordable since NYC vacations can be expensive

Not sure. There are about 8-10 locations in manhattan.

Was it this place?
ETA: I'm going to assume no, since the "Locations" link on their website shows no locations in New York.

RE: Burger Joint, its a nice hideaway, but I don't understand why ppl stand in line for it. Also at the Parker Meridien is Norma's, which has wonderful breakfasts.
