I'm pretty sure a select few would be upset about my posting in this area but I felt it would be worth a try at the least . Anyone has a rolex they are looking to sell ? I'm a head supervisor/company spokesman and as of lately have been dealing with some very high end individuals who take notice on things they see. I want to up my wardrobe and have always wanted one so figured id start looking . If anyone has one they are open to sell please give me your email and let's discuss it. Hope everyone has a great Sunday , and oooo boy does it feel great to have beaten ole Johnny

I have three Breitlings and I wouldn't trade them for anything. But try

www.authenticwatches.com

I haven't used them but I know people that have and had their watches checked out.. 100% legit.

understand that owning a Rolex will also cost you $300-500 every 4-5 years for cleaning/refurb.

Rolexforums.com classified section is very good. They pull anything that is questionable. Timezone and watchuseek are also very good forums with classified sections.

I've owned mine for 21 years...and only had to service it one time..was about 400

it still looks new! I bought used for 2200, and I think I could get more for it today.

Insurance is a must...

hope this helps, I've enjoyed owning one...

buying a brand new one is nice but I'd buy a quality used one all day long twice on Sunday..

Just have it appraised before purchase

eBay

Never buy a high end watch from Ebay unless it's a dealer. Too many fakes. I recommend going for something a little off the beaten path. I wear Breitling mostly and they always get a look from people.

I buy from watchuseek.com on their sales forum.

watchuseek is where it's at. 2nd on the Breitling. Want to add JLC in there too.

eta : or 3rd or 4th the Breitling.

Most people can't sell, much less get rid of the things they get in Bangkok...

You don't have one of those too, do you?

You might want to consider a vintage pocket watch but then that may require a wardrobe make over

What sort of shallow individuals do you work with that would think more highley of you because you have a rolex?

Look for a Panerai Radiomir instead. It's a more watch guy type style, unmistakable though.

Not really my style, but I don't try to get noticed by my watches either. Just saying, bang for buck a Panerai is better money spent if you want someone to look at your watch.

If you do get a used Rolex you absolutely should get a Submariner.

Really the only one WAF.

I will never own a Panerai. I don't like how they look. I've never owned a Rolex either even though I do like them.

Oh me neither. I have Dr. friend who owns a few nice watches and he says more guys comment on the Panerai than even his much nicer Patek. I tried to talk him into a Blacpain after his Patek, but he was dead set on the Radiomir. I don't get that style at all.

I could deal with this, even though I'm not really into diving watches.
