I haven't eaten yet today because it's been a busy busy busy day.

Deciding now where to go. I was going to do Fleming's happy hour burger, but I don't want to do it alone.

Just made several reservations for Sugar Bowl weekend since I'll be in NOLA for a wedding and I am an over-planner :D Made more than I need so I can cancel depending on what I decide.

It's a Kale and Lentil soup for me. It's the recipe from Food 52.

I've made it before and this is my best effort.

Curious, as the recipe calls for a hearty red wine, I'm sure a nice beer to deglaze the pot would work as well.

I'm thinking something dark, robust. Any of you beer mavens with a suggestion?

Here is the recipe

The results

Watching Man v Food...

The restaurants that just throw shite together and call it a meal are fricking stupid.

This restaurant has a sandwich with mozz sticks, mushrooms, peppers, onions, cheese, philly steak, onion rings, mac and cheese, and chicken tenders on it.

Like.. that doesn't even go together. They just stuffed a sandwich with their appetizer menu.
