It's becoming more and more like Thanksgiving/Christmas everyday in BR

I didn't expect much from this below average North Louisiana establishment.

And you shouldn't . Food is terrible. They have a nice drinking patio at the Coursey location though.

Opening a second location ..

And yes, Afro, the food is freaking atrocious there ... It has a nice bar set up (once you get past the panoramic view of the CVS building) .. but that's about it ... The place is amazingly always packed, nightly ..

Someone's expanding too fast .. Can you say Another Broken Egg Part I ?

You have to like cigarettes even when sitting inside. The last time I was there, they had the patio completely enclosed because it was a little chilly out. The garage like door between the patio and the inside was open all the way, so basically people were smoking inside, even though the enclosure on the patio was "temporary". Even if the food was awesome, I can't do cigarettes with my meal. Will not be back.

The one time we went out to the Coursey location, I thought the food was good and they had a decent beer selection. Real good onion rings, better than average cheeseburger, good brisket sandwich. Maybe we lucked up and just ordered the right things. I'm glad they're going into Southdowns, it's a lot closer for us to visit. We can put it in the regular rotation of places.

On point, OG. I'd expect the Portico kitchens in BR to be pretty comparable to the Mecca location...fine cuisine? No. Good food on the menu ? Yes. Much better than average pub fare? Hell yes.

I've been a few times...and I have no problems appreciating bar food...but maaaan. I've had some bad shite I honestly probably won't go back. I was expecting Johnny's quality given their heritage, but no dice.

Then someone needs to train the staff to execute. The original is nothing like this.

Right across the street from me. Spent a lot of time at Marcello's and will appreciate there being another patio to hang out on. I probably wouldn't be able to eat their food anyway and from these reviews, I may not want to. Hope they can pour a nice glass of wine/water.

This location isn't ideal ESPECIALLY with all the construction going on right there

Hopefully the roads will be done by the time they open and they will be successful.
