"We gave them too many turnovers, not patient enough handing the football off to run the football and that's my fault. This one is on me. I take it."

While part of that is true, its very misleading.

Great - so instead of:

coaching a QB to make better decisions (i.e. 2 of the 3 INTs were into a well covered WR plus an extra defender, the other INT was to a double covered WR but was well underthrown - should have been a TD)

adjusting to a team that is guarding our two WR with 4 DBs a lot of the game and taking advantage of the extra space in their D

We're going to shut down the offense, and hope that our defense will keep Bama and A&M from scoring 30 plus?

Not at all what was said.

The run was there all night. Hill was blasting guys. But we got antsy and threw it instead of continuing to take what was there. That put us in a tough spot after 3 picks where we had no choice but to throw.

Football has always been about establishing the run and controlling the ball. Then you take calculated throws downfield to take advantage of a defense that is cheating up. Last night we got big 12 pass happy and it hurt.

and when you're keep trying to establish the run and the clock reads 0:00, do you keep trying to establish the run? At what point do you get creative?

The clock didn't read 0:00 until 28 seconds after the idiot should have called timeout. so I would say that was plenty fricking "creative"

This is what pissed me off the most. As a coach, you need to put your team in the best position to win at that given moment. As fans we were all screaming at the tv to call timeout immediately after the 3rd down stop. it's beyond me that he can't think the same thing.

He should've forseen Ole Miss making the FG and played to get the ball back with as much time as possible with our pretty decent vertical passing game.

The offense rebounded and tied the game. We let the qb run for first down after first down

Meh most players are gonna make stupid mistakes. Mettenberger made a lot in one game. I'm 110 percent sure coaches have told him not to force it 40+ yards down field into double and triple coverage. There has to be accountability on players making dumb decisions as well.

I blame miles for the non timeout but other than that players have bad games. Miles and Chavis can't she'd blocks for our d line or wrap up on tackles for them. And before some rantard chimes in, yes they've obviously been coached in these techniques, they just aren't as good as previous defenses under Chavis.

The OP never once commented on that clock situation. That was a blunder. Mett throwing 3 picks to a covered beckham was on Mett. However it was on the coaches for not continually running the ball early. If we run the ball we don't throw 2 of those picks and go in at half up. Instead we go in down and feel pressured to throw the rest of the game to keep up. And Mett was short all night.

Love Mett and still thinks he has what it takes to win out but he has to play better. Cam has to call a better game. Chavis has to blitz
On 3rd. Those three things happen and we don't even have to worry about callin timeout to stop or not stop a field goal.

Freeze is a moron. He did everything in his power to give us that game. And we still wouldn't take it.

How these retards here don't understand this I will never know. They probably think we have int plays drawn up based on some of the dumb shite I've read here this morning.

So Les takes away snaps from a RB who fumbles, but not a QB who throws idiotic INTs. Interesting...

The dude has thrown what 2 picks all year before this game?? He's the fricking quarterback and supposed leader of the team. You really want to go back to the qb rotation bullshite because a guy has one bad half? I sure don't.
I bet Brady, Brees, and Manning are happy their coaches don't overreact like you do when they have a bad half.

If we are blaming coaching I'd lay it at the feet of Cameron for not pounding it more against a clearly over matched ole miss from 7

Thirty seconds is not going to fix bad play for 59 and a half minuets. I'm am really sure we would have scored with 30 ticks on the clock, no way.
best of luck and I hope we can upset Bama, there no pressure anymore.
